Her debut banner has long ended, so this is a retrospective on whether she made sense for an account then—not advice about a banner available now.
The case for pulling her was strongest if you wanted an Imaginary AoE Break damage dealer and had room for that role. It was not a universal recommendation: roster needs, supports, competing banners, and personal taste all mattered.
1. She offered broad AoE toughness pressure
A contemporary October 23, 2024 Beebom pull guide described Rappa as able to reduce toughness across multiple enemies regardless of their weakness type. That made her a potentially flexible choice for accounts seeking AoE Break coverage, especially when facing groups whose weaknesses did not line up with a preferred damage dealer.
That flexibility did not mean equal performance in every encounter or superiority over other damage dealers. The practical question was whether your account needed this particular combination of multi-target pressure, Break damage, and Imaginary typing.
2. Imaginary Weakness Break could help control enemy turns
Breaking an enemy with Imaginary damage can delay its action. In a multi-target fight, Rappa’s AoE toughness pressure could therefore contribute to reducing how often enemies act—if she and her team actually broke them. The result depended on the enemies and the encounter; it was a control benefit, not a substitute for a sustain character.
3. Her build and team options did not have to revolve around a signature Light Cone
The 2024 guide pointed to Harmony Trailblazer, four-star Gallagher, and Light Cones obtainable through the Light Cone Manifest Store as accessible options for building around Rappa. For an account that already had suitable characters or could obtain those options, that could reduce pressure to spend resources on her signature Light Cone.

4. Her niche gave her a distinct role in the 2.6 roster
The contemporary guide characterized Rappa as an AoE Break DPS and described her as the only character in that specific role at the time. That is a time-bound claim, not a statement about the current roster. The lasting reason to consider her was the niche itself: an AoE-focused Break damage dealer with Imaginary typing.

Whether that niche was worth a limited pull depended on what your account already did well. If you had preferred Break damage dealers or did not need more multi-target coverage, the role distinction alone was not a reason to pull.
5. You might simply have liked the character
Rappa’s Galaxy Ranger identity, ninja-inspired presentation, rap, graffiti, and skateboard gave her a strong stylistic appeal. Enjoying her design, animations, or persona was a valid reason to spend in-game resources, particularly for a character-focused account; it is a matter of preference rather than a measure of account strength.

How to weigh Rappa against the other 2.6 banners
Version 2.6 offered competing pulls across both phases. A secondary version history page lists Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae alongside Rappa in Phase 1, followed by Acheron and Aventurine in Phase 2. Rather than treating one as universally better, compare the banners against your own needs:
- Roster gap: Did you need AoE Break coverage, or were your preferred Break damage dealers already meeting that need?
- Encounter preference: Would multi-target toughness pressure and its potential action delay help with the fights you wanted to tackle?
- Team resources: Did you have usable Break supports and sustain, or access to the options the contemporary guide highlighted?
- Opportunity cost: Would one of the other characters offered in 2.6 fill a more important gap for your account?
- Personal preference: Did you enjoy Rappa enough that collecting or playing her mattered more than optimizing the roster?
What about the original Fugue argument?
The 2024 guide also argued that Rappa could pair well with Fugue, who was then an upcoming Version 2.7 character. Its description of Fugue’s kit relied on leaks, so it should be read as a pre-release prediction, not official confirmation or current team advice. That historical claim alone cannot establish how Rappa performs with the released Fugue or in the 2026 roster.
