Spoilers for The Quarry. If you mean Silas Vorez, the White Wolf, kill him if you want to end the werewolf curse. Sparing him can leave the curse active. The choice does not, by itself, decide whether every counselor survives; that depends on earlier decisions and how the final encounter unfolds.
What happens if you kill or spare Silas?

Does killing Silas save everyone?
No. Silas’s death ends the curse, but it is not a guarantee that every character survives. Their outcomes depend on the branching decisions made before the final confrontation and on the conditions of that encounter.

GameSpot’s keep-everyone-alive walkthrough includes shooting Silas in Chapter 10 as part of a specific sequence of choices. Treat it as one route, not as evidence that this single decision is enough to secure every character’s survival.
Which choice should you make?
- Choose to kill Silas if your priority is ending the curse.
- Choose to spare him if you want to see the route where the curse may continue.
- For a particular character outcome, follow a complete route that accounts for the decisions leading up to the encounter; the Silas choice alone cannot determine it.
The Quarry is built around branching decisions: Supermassive Games describes it as a story where “every decision shapes their unique story from a tangled web of possibilities.” That is why “better” depends on whether you mean better for ending the curse or better for the particular story you want to experience.
