When should you summon, and when should you save?
There is no universally best banner: the choice depends on how much you want the featured Servant and what you can afford to commit. Compare competing banners on these points before spending:
- Personal priority: Is this a Servant you strongly want, or are you pulling mainly because the banner is available?
- Commitment: How many summons can you set aside for this lineup without undermining a more important future target?
- Guarantee: Is reaching the banner’s 330-summon guarantee realistic for you?
- Timing and lineup: When does the pickup end, and is it a separate lineup with its own count?
- Event farming: Will you play enough of the event for featured Craft Essence drop bonuses to matter?
- Campaign offers: Is a paid-only guaranteed summon actually available now, or are you looking at an ordinary banner?
Summon if the target matters enough that you would still feel the pulls were a deliberate choice if the Servant does not arrive early. Save if the target is only mildly appealing, you are holding out for someone you value more, or spending now would leave you unable to make a meaningful commitment later.
What does the 330-summon guarantee cover?
For the English-language US server, the official summon details state that if you perform 329 summons on a Limited Time Pickup Summon without obtaining its pickup ★5 (SSR) Servant, the 330th summon guarantees one copy. Paid Saint Quartz, free Saint Quartz, and summon tickets count toward the relevant pickup summon, according to those details.

The important qualification is “that pickup summon.” The count is specific to an individual banner lineup, and separate summon pages or rotating lineups have separate counts. The count does not transfer to a different summon after the limited pickup ends. Check the in-game summon screen’s summon-history count for the lineup you intend to use; do not assume pulls on another lineup move you closer to its guarantee.
The guarantee is a substantial commitment, not a prediction of how many pulls you personally will need. The official details establish the guarantee and pickup-rate increases, but the accessible text does not provide a complete rate table suitable for calculating the chance of an early copy here. Treat pulls below the guarantee as a gamble, not as guaranteed progress toward getting the Servant.
What the 11-pull bonus does—and does not—guarantee
The official US notice says each 11x summon includes one 4-star-or-higher card and one 3-star-or-higher Servant. The 4-star-or-higher card can be a Craft Essence, so this bonus is not a guarantee of an SSR Servant.

Can an event Craft Essence make a banner more worthwhile?
Sometimes, if you expect to farm the event extensively. A 2026 Japanese-server event notice says its featured limited Craft Essences increase event item drops. That can make a Craft Essence useful for farming, but it is a separate consideration from obtaining the featured Servant. The notice does not establish how valuable the bonus will be for every account; weigh it against how much you expect to play the event.

How to check a banner before spending
- Open the banner’s summon screen and read its detailed summon rates and eligible pickup Servant.
- Check the pickup’s end date and time for your server. In the US, for example, Altria Pendragon (Ruler) had a limited-time pickup running September 28 to September 29, 2026 PDT; that dated example is not a schedule for future banners.
- Review the summon-history count for the exact lineup you plan to use, especially if the banner rotates between lineups.
- Set a resource limit before pulling. Decide whether the amount is worthwhile to you even if you do not get the Servant before reaching that limit.
Are anniversary guaranteed summons different?
Yes. Special paid-only guaranteed summons and campaign rewards have their own availability and terms; they are not standard terms for every event banner. The US 9th Anniversary campaign page, published in July 2026, described limited anniversary guaranteed summons and said the one-time limit on its “Guaranteed Summon” feature had been removed, so it would apply every 330 summons starting with that campaign. Treat that as a dated campaign announcement, not a promise that the same offer or terms will appear in a future campaign. Check the active campaign notice before deciding whether a paid offer belongs in your comparison.
Does summoning provide another route to Servants and Craft Essences?
Summoning is not the only way to obtain them. The official game guide says Servants and Craft Essences can be obtained as quest rewards and through Saint Quartz Summoning and Friend Point Summoning. That is useful context, but it does not change the banner-specific guarantee or establish that a particular pickup Servant is available as a quest reward.
