Bloober Team’s remake of the original SILENT HILL was reported to have entered full production in October 2025. The project was announced in cooperation with Konami in June 2025, and Konami later confirmed it was working on a remake of the series’ first game. No release date, launch window, or platforms have been announced in the official sources reviewed here.
Is the Silent Hill 1 remake in full production?
According to TechRadar’s report dated October 2, 2025, an investor call confirmed that the remake had entered full production. The report quoted Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno and Vice President Karolina Nowak: “We have two proprietary production teams, one of which is working on Silent Hill 1, while the other has started working on a second project,”

This is a dated production-status report, not a release announcement or a schedule. Konami’s later FY2026 third-quarter report confirms the remake remained in development at the time of that report, but does not describe a newer production-stage change.
Who is developing the Silent Hill remake?
Bloober Team announced the remake on June 12, 2025, saying it was “developed in close cooperation” with Konami. That announcement establishes Bloober as the developer and Konami as its partner on the project. The companies had previously said they were continuing their collaboration, without naming this remake at the time; Bloober’s February 25, 2025 partnership announcement provides that background.

Konami’s FY2026 third-quarter report also says it is working on a remake of the first game in the series. The report identifies the original SILENT HILL as the game first introduced in 1999.
What is confirmed about the game—and what is not?
The confirmed scope is limited: this is a remake of the first SILENT HILL game, made by Bloober Team in cooperation with Konami. The official announcement and Konami report reviewed here do not specify the remake’s gameplay, cast, story changes, camera, art direction, or other design details. There is not enough confirmed information to say whether it will preserve or alter any particular feature of the PlayStation original.

Konami names SILENT HILL: Townfall separately as a new title in the same report. It is a distinct project, not another name for the first game’s remake.
