A fan turned Silent Hill 2’s intentionally absurd pizza-box Pyramid Head mask into a real cardboard cosplay prop. EGW.News credited the creation to Reddit user jessilyncupcake and reported that it was intended for a group cosplay photoshoot with their partner, though the available reporting does not confirm whether the shoot took place.
The pizza-box mask made the jump from game cosmetic to cosplay prop
EGW.News reported on October 27, 2024, that Reddit user jessilyncupcake made a physical Pyramid Head mask inspired by the pizza-box look in the Silent Hill 2 remake. The report describes a fan-made recreation, not an official merchandise item. Its embedded Reddit post could not be independently read, so the attribution and photoshoot plan rest on EGW.News’ account. Read EGW.News’ report.
The report says the mask was meant for a group cosplay photoshoot with the creator’s partner. It does not establish that the planned shoot happened or document its results, so the verified story is the handmade prop and the plan—not a confirmed cosplay session.
Why Pyramid Head has a pizza-box mask in the remake
The pizza-box design began as an in-game cosmetic. In a May 30, 2024 announcement, PlayStation said the Silent Hill 2 Digital Deluxe Edition includes a Pyramid Head mask made from a pizza box. That edition detail is useful context, but it does not mean the Digital Deluxe Edition includes a physical helmet: PlayStation identifies the pizza-box mask as an in-game item.
Could you make a cardboard Pyramid Head helmet yourself?
Another maker, Reddit user Shollern28, shared a Pyramid Head helmet template based on dimensions from a statue and said it could be used for a cardboard build or a full cosplay. That offers a separate starting point for someone interested in a cardboard helmet, but there is no evidence that jessilyncupcake used this template. See Shollern28’s template post.

The template and the pizza-box mask are distinct fan projects: one is a shared helmet pattern, while the other is the recreation EGW.News attributed to jessilyncupcake. The available sources do not provide a build tutorial or establish how the mask was constructed.
