The Silent Hill f Main Hall chapter is a loop through three ritual chambers. Follow Fox Mask to the first chamber, then use the Fox Arm you earn there to open slatted doors and reach the next routes. After the final ritual, the Mask of the Fox Clan grants Focus, which reveals marked hidden passages. Save at Hokora shrines, search side rooms for upgrades and collectibles, and check the sealed passages before heading north to the chapter-ending encounter.
How to reach the first Ritual Chamber
- Proceed along the corridor into the Main Hall and follow Fox Mask through the shrine.
- Explore side rooms as you go. The hall’s similar-looking rooms can make it easy to lose your bearings, and the route includes consumables, documents, offerings, and Hokora save shrines.
- Use a Hokora before pushing farther into combat areas, then continue following Fox Mask to the first ritual chamber.
Enemies roam the hall. Yori’s Little Shrine also warns that enemies may drop from ceilings in rooms you have not explored, so look up as you enter unfamiliar spaces. This is an independent guide’s caution, not a guaranteed enemy placement.

Use the Fox Arm to find the second Ritual Chamber
Completing the first ritual grants Hinako the Fox Arm. It can siphon enemy souls to stop them from reanimating and lift doors with slat openings. Return to the Main Hall and use it on newly accessible routes to reach the second ritual chamber.
Continue following Fox Mask through the opened route and its combat rooms. The walkthrough also lists optional offerings, documents, and save points along these loops; check side rooms if you are collecting rather than rushing onward.

Find the final Ritual Chamber
After the second ritual, head back toward the Main Hall and take the route upward to the final chamber. A later section includes a broken-floor detour with an inventory-capacity upgrade and an Antique Comb. If you want these, inspect the detour before moving on to the final ritual.
The chapter walkthrough also describes Kudzu Seal / Bestial Form as a later ritual reward, followed by a combat use. Treat this as progression guidance from an unofficial walkthrough; the precise ability naming and sequence are not established by Konami’s update notice.

Chase after Fox Mask and search for hidden passages
After the final ritual, follow Fox Mask back to the Main Hall. Hinako obtains the Mask of the Fox Clan and Focus. Focus reveals passages behind marked walls; the mask itself has no combat benefit, according to an independent guide.
Before continuing north, use Focus on marked walls and inspect the newly revealed rooms. The route notes identify an Ema, a Family Physician’s Log, and an offering in secret rooms, as well as a further sealed passage on the second floor. Once you have finished exploring, proceed through the northern passage toward the scene and the chapter-ending boss encounter.

Survive the Main Hall fights
The area’s maze-like layout and roaming enemies make Hokora shrines useful stopping points between fights. Yori’s Little Shrine describes encounters with a Tumor Woman, Drum, and Ritual Overseer; some labels are unofficial because official names were not disclosed.
- Ceiling ambushes: Yori’s guide recommends checking overhead while entering unexplored rooms.
- Drum encounter: The same author recommends dealing with minions first because they contribute to some of the boss’s attacks. This is a guide strategy, not an official or guaranteed tactic.
- Final encounter: The walkthrough describes a Rinko-like entity with multiple phases, fire attacks, and puppets. It lists a trophy condition for defeating the boss without being hit by her puppets; do not treat the entity label or any attack sequence as publisher-confirmed.
Optional items and New Game+ secrets
Silent Hill Memories’ checklist for a standard run lists one Omamori, one Ema, one inventory upgrade, and three documents in this chapter. The chapter also has optional offerings and consumables, so a completionist route takes longer than simply following the rituals.

New Game+ adds a way to bypass the rituals and proceed ahead, while Fox Mask abilities open access to a secret area relevant to an ending requirement. In the Hermitage of Crimson Water, the fan guide’s bell puzzle order is:
- Ring the stone-symbol bell on the balcony.
- Ring the water-symbol bell on the eastern island by the great stone.
- Ring the tree-symbol bell across the stone bridge.
The same guide says New Game++ does not require solving the puzzle again for Ending 4 if it was completed on an earlier run. It also lists a Hotei-sama bottle and an Ema upgrade in the garden area. These are unofficial route details.

What the November 2025 update changes
Konami’s November 13, 2025 update notice added Casual action difficulty and a selective New Game+ skip. Casual can be selected when starting a new game or from a New Game+ save. Players on Story difficulty or higher can select it after reaching Game Over multiple times.
The skip unlocks after completing the “Go through the door” objective following the New Game+ mural puzzle. Konami says skipped sections do not award their items or three named achievements, but using the skip does not affect branching paths or endings. The notice also says Hinako’s stamina replenishes slightly faster, unskippable combat encounters and enemy placements were reduced across multiple sections, and Hard action difficulty causes slightly less damage to Hinako. These are details from that November 2025 notice; later changes are not established here.
Choose your route by priority
| Priority | Recommended approach |
|---|---|
| Reach the chapter end | Follow Fox Mask through the three rituals, use the Fox Arm on slatted doors, and continue north after the final ritual. |
| Collect items and documents | Check side rooms and the broken-floor detour, save at Hokora shrines, then use Focus on marked walls after the final ritual. |
| Explore New Game+ content | Use the available skip only if you accept missing items and three achievements in skipped sections; take the Crimson Water route and solve its bell puzzle if needed for your ending goal. |
Konami lists Silent Hill f for PlayStation 5, Steam, and Xbox Series X|S. The route and collectible details above come from unofficial fan guides, while the update behavior is from Konami’s dated notice.
