Hollow Knight: Silksong’s Clawline is found in the Cauldron, in Underworks. The documented main route is to get the White Key in Choral Chambers, unlock the Whiteward elevator, and travel through Whiteward into Underworks. An alternate Underworks entrance is described in the lower-left Whispering Vaults.
Where to find Clawline
Clawline—the grappling-hook ability for Hornet—is located in the Cauldron area of Underworks. The Silksong Wiki’s Clawline guide and its abilities list identify Underworks as its location.
How to reach the Cauldron through Whiteward
- Find the White Key in Choral Chambers. A walkthrough places it in the upper-right area, near the First Shrine. See the chaptered Its Shatter walkthrough for the route outline.
- Return to the Whiteward elevator in Choral Chambers. The elevator is on a lower level. Use the White Key at its lock or panel to open the route into Whiteward, as described by PC Gamer’s guide.
- Go through Whiteward into Underworks. Continue along the connected passage and use your map to navigate through the region. The available guides establish this area-to-area route, but not a dependable sequence of rooms and turns.
- Continue to the Cauldron. Clawline is in the Cauldron within Underworks. The walkthrough’s Underworks chapter is the section covering its acquisition.
Alternate entrance to Underworks
If you cannot use the Whiteward elevator, PC Gamer also describes an elevator in the lower-left part of Whispering Vaults that leads to Underworks. Whispering Vaults is approached from the lower part of Cogwork Core. This is an alternative entrance; the cited guides do not establish whether it is shorter or safer than going through Whiteward.
What to expect from this route
The confirmed directions are at region level, not a room-by-room walkthrough. They do not establish exact screens, hazards, bench locations, or the precise interaction that awards Clawline. For controls, check the in-game controls screen for your platform and current button settings: a single universal button mapping is not established here.
