What is the official sales total for Silksong?
Team Cherry’s latest official milestone in the sources cited here is more than 7 million purchases by December 15, 2025. In its announcement, the developer wrote: “That’s over seven million of you who’ve purchased the game, alongside millions more playing on Xbox Game Pass!” Team Cherry’s announcement does not break the purchase figure down by platform.
The Game Pass players are a separate measure: they were playing the game through a subscription, not necessarily purchasing a copy. Do not add that group to the purchase total.
How many Silksong copies have sold on Steam?

Team Cherry’s 7-million-plus milestone covers purchases without a platform split, while Raijin’s figure is an estimated Steam-only total on a later date. They measure different scopes and come from different sources, so they should not be added together or treated as directly comparable confirmed counts.
Why do some reports give a much lower Steam number?
The lower figure is an earlier snapshot, not a contradiction. PC Gamer reported GameDiscoverCo’s estimate of more than 3.2 million Steam copies and approximately 1.5 million Game Pass downloads on September 15, 2025, shortly after launch. That report is useful as early-launch context, but it is not a current sales total.

Steam lists September 4, 2025 as the game’s release date and identifies Team Cherry as developer and publisher. The Steam listing also offers the digital game and a digital soundtrack.
