Six games were reported as leaving the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium Game Catalog in June 2025: Monster Hunter Rise, After Us, Kayak VR: Mirage, Rogue Legacy 2, Inscryption and AVICII Invector. The first report was based on Japanese and Asian PlayStation Store listings, so it should not be treated as a dated global Sony announcement.

Can you still play Monster Hunter Rise after it leaves PS Plus?
GameSpot reported that players would need to buy Monster Hunter Rise to continue playing after its catalog removal. A catalog subscription provides access only while the game is included and the subscriber remains eligible; buying the game is the route identified in that report for keeping access beyond its removal.
When did the games leave, and did timing vary by region?
The initial reports described the departures as happening in mid-June alongside the next Extra and Premium lineup, but the reviewed sources do not establish a precise final playable date for all six games in every region. Sony’s June 11 announcement said incoming catalog titles would be playable on June 17, 2025; that date applies to additions, not necessarily to the removal cutoff for these games. Sony also cautioned that Game Catalog and Premium/Deluxe lineups may differ by region and advised checking the local PlayStation Store on release day. Sony’s June 2025 catalog announcement

Because the list first appeared in Japanese and Asian store listings and Sony’s post did not confirm these departures or their exact timing, check the catalog in your own region if you need to know whether a listed game is still playable there.
