To complete Brokered Ground in Skull and Bones, follow the active journal objectives from Sainte-Anne through Vorona Falls, Tamby Foundry, and Lanitra, then return to John Scurlock in Sainte-Anne. At each stop, choose the Brokered Ground interaction and hand over a Weapon Cache if the current objective requests one. Ubisoft has changed the quest, so use your in-game tracker and map marker if an older guide gives different steps or item counts.
How to unlock Brokered Ground
Ubisoft’s Year 3 Season 2 patch notes, published August 17, 2026, say that completing The Lion of Sainte-Anne now grants Brokered Ground directly. The same update removed The Price of Secrets; its ending cinematic points players toward meeting the Sea People. Start by checking your journal after The Lion of Sainte-Anne.

Brokered Ground walkthrough
The route described in walkthroughs published in February 2024 is Vorona Falls, Tamby Foundry, and Lanitra, followed by a return to Scurlock. Follow the active objective marker between locations; settlement access and objective wording may differ from those older guides after game updates.

Accept or track Brokered Ground through the Sainte-Anne questline. The current official unlock flow is to receive it after completing The Lion of Sainte-Anne.

Visit the Sea People Merchant at Vorona Falls
Follow the marker west to Vorona Falls and interact with the Sea People Merchant. Select Brokered Ground in the interaction menu, then submit a Weapon Cache if the tracker asks for one. Insider Gaming’s February 13, 2024 walkthrough reports that this interaction provides a Fara Trade Manifest.

Continue to Tamby Foundry
Use the current map marker to reach Tamby Foundry and choose Brokered Ground in the settlement interaction. If prompted, hand over the requested cache. Insider Gaming reports receiving a Compagnie Trade Route Report here. Selphie1999Gaming’s February 16, 2024 guide describes a river route with Fara ships; treat that as a possible hazard, not a guaranteed encounter in every build.

Collect the report at Lanitra
Go to Lanitra and dock or disembark as the objective requires. Speak with the Sea People Huntmaster and select Brokered Ground. Insider Gaming reports that the interaction yields a Shipping Manifest. Ubisoft later documented adding a Lanitra report-collection step, so do not skip this stop just because an older route omits it.

Return to Scurlock
Sail back to Sainte-Anne and report the gathered information to John Scurlock to complete the quest. The 2024 walkthrough describes a follow-up conversation; no evidence establishes that dialogue choices change the quest outcome.

Why older guides may show different steps
Ubisoft’s Y1S1.3 patch notes record two historical changes: the number of Weapon Caches required was reduced from three to one, and a step to collect reports from Lanitra was added. Those notes document what changed in that update; they do not establish that every current build uses the same cache count or objective wording. If the journal differs from a 2024 walkthrough, follow the journal and map marker.

Insider Gaming’s February 2024 guide lists a Scoping Station, 240 silver, and a Rogue Swabbie Set as rewards. The guide says the Scoping Station improves weakpoint damage against marked targets. Ubisoft’s cited patch notes do not provide a current reward list, so check the quest-completion screen for the rewards in your build.
