Use the map to narrow down the search
The official Sky Map help page describes the map as a way to discover realm secrets and locate missed Winged Lights. A yellow star means an area contains one or more uncollected lights; it is not a precise pin. Select an area to see details, including its Winged Light count. Map Shrines reveal map areas.

Since the January 6, 2026 version 32.0 update, the map can be opened anywhere with the top-right map button. The help page also lists M for mouse and keyboard, or left trigger plus down on the D-pad for controller or gamepad. As the official page puts it, “The Sky Map is the world map within Sky to help you uncover all the secrets the realms have to offer!”
Daylight Prairie Winged Light checklist
The locations and numbering below follow the community-maintained Children of Light location guide. The numbers are checklist labels, not in-game markers. The guide reports 24 lights across eight subareas; that inventory is community-reported, not an official count confirmed by the Help Center.

Butterfly Fields — 3 Winged Light
- Prairie WL 1: In the first cave on the left. The guide says at least one Daylight Prairie Ancestor Spirit is required to enter.
- Prairie WL 2: On top of the round cave rock. Call from inside the cave; butterflies can carry you upward.
- Prairie WL 3: By the entrance straight ahead toward Villages. The guide notes this light was previously near the Bird Nest entrance, so older route descriptions may be out of date.
Villages — 3 Winged Light
- Prairie WL 4: On the center of the smaller front island.
- Prairie WL 5: On the left island, behind a two-player door at the bottom-right side of the hill. Both players must hold a candle to open it.
- Prairie WL 6: Behind the hill in the middle of the three larger islands.
Eight-Player Puzzle Area — 1 Winged Light
- Prairie WL 7: In a windowed cave on the left. Enter through a round window or an opening at the upper back; the Child of Light stands on a raised tarp in the corner. The guide says it was moved here from a tree hollow when the area was revamped for Days of Color.
Prairie Temple — 2 Winged Light
- Prairie WL 8: On the roof just above the temple entrance, on the left.
- Prairie WL 9: Higher up on the roof dome. Use the clouds to recharge wing power on the way.
Caves — 2 Winged Light
The guide describes two entrances: a high ledge on the left side of Butterfly Fields, or a cave left of Villages above the left island. Both require two Isle of Dawn Ancestor Spirits and three Daylight Prairie Ancestor Spirits. The guide recommends entering from Butterfly Fields for this route.
- Prairie WL 10: In the first cave from Butterfly Fields, climb the grassy stairs on the right to the room with jars. Look slightly right through the window toward a high cave in the wall; the guide suggests going with a friend.
- Prairie WL 11: Across the lake from the Butterfly Fields entrance, in the narrower cave area where light comes from above. Look for a small high cave on the right.
Bird Nest — 2 Winged Light
Entering Bird Nest requires four Daylight Prairie Ancestor Spirits, according to the guide.

- Prairie WL 12: On a higher island at the perimeter between the Villages gateway and the Sanctuary Islands entrance.
- Prairie WL 13: On a small island directly below the gateway between Bird Nest and Villages.
Sanctuary Islands — 8 Winged Light
Enter through the cloud opening in Bird Nest. The guide places two lights on floating islands, two on the main island’s exterior, and four in its cave system.
- Prairie WL 14: On the bottom shelf of the large floating island, below its small waterfall.
- Prairie WL 15: At the bottom of the two-tier waterfall.
- Prairie WL 16: On a floating island above the geyser, near the group of three floating islands furthest from the Bird Nest gateway.
- Prairie WL 17: On a cliff ledge between the beach geyser and the three whale-tail statues.
- Prairie WL 18: At the end of the tunnel at the top of the mountain.
- Prairie WL 19: In the cave system to the right of WL 15, in the room with the Darkness tree. Climb to the top of the spiral slope.
- Prairie WL 20: Inside the Jellyfish cave, whose opening is along the beach near WL 17.
- Prairie WL 21: In the cave system left of WL 15, high on a ledge at the end of the second horizontal ladder.
Prairie Peaks — 3 Winged Light
The guide says Prairie Peaks is reached by boat in the Caves, from the Butterfly Fields side.

- Prairie WL 22: In Jolly Geologist’s cave on the right side of Prairie Peaks, next to a large crystal structure.
- Prairie WL 23: At the peak of the highest mountain at the far end of Prairie Peaks.
- Prairie WL 24: In the Nightbird Whisperer subarea on the left side of Prairie Peaks, at the top of the bird-filled hollow cave.
What to do if a light seems missing
- Use the map’s area count and yellow star to choose a subarea, then match its landmark against the numbered checklist. The star does not identify the exact collectible.
- Check access requirements before retracing the route: the guide lists Spirit requirements for the first Butterfly Fields cave, Caves, and Bird Nest, as well as a two-player door in Villages.
- Allow for guide changes. A Steam community map author says updates can take from hours to weeks or a month and may miss comments; treat community directions as useful route guidance, not a guarantee that every detail reflects the current game.
The 24-location route is based on a community dataset, not a live in-game traversal. The Steam community map is an additional player-maintained resource, but Steam currently shows it as removed from public visibility for a community-guideline notice. A recent YouTube listing titled “Daylight Prairie – All Winged Light Locations | Updated Guide” is available at this video listing, but its detailed directions are not established here.
