The community-maintained Sky Wiki’s numbering and subarea labels are inconsistent, so use the landmarks below rather than relying on a numbered sequence. If you are looking for the last one, check the left side behind the Migration Camp as well as the Trial you may have missed.
Where to find Isle of Dawn’s main-realm Winged Lights
Use this landmark sweep for the non-Trial locations. Some routes require an Isle of Dawn Ancestor Spirit; the Cave of Prophecies has a separate access requirement.

- Stranded boat below the first cave: Enter the first cave and continue to its end, then fly or drop down to the stranded boat. On a first visit, the light may appear at the jump-off point behind the Temple; after collecting and losing it once, the listing says it appears at the usual boat location.
- Ridge above the first cave: Climb above the cave mouth or fly up the mountain behind the boat. Follow the hilltop to find the light.
- Ramp before the Temple: Head toward the distant ramp in front of the Temple and check its top. The Sky Wiki listing says access requires at least one Isle of Dawn Ancestor Spirit, unless you can fly up to it.
- Butterfly cave on the right: Go to the far right of the area, behind the large ramp, and enter the cave with butterflies above it. The listing says at least one Isle of Dawn Ancestor Spirit is required to enter.
- Dawn Overlook cloud-tunnel route: Take the cloud tunnel to the right of the Temple to reach the mountain structure. The main cave entrance has a two-player door. Instead, fly to the upper outside level near the clouds and look for a small cave offshoot to the right of the gated hole.
- Left side by the Migration Camp: Check behind the large cave near the start and behind the Migration Camp. The wiki labels this location WL 10, despite its confusing numbering and subarea organization, so search for it as a separate stop.
The Sky Wiki and its Isle overview list 10 Winged Lights in total, but the detailed listing’s labels do not align cleanly with its description of five ordinary locations plus four Trial rewards. Treat these directions as landmark checks, not a verified numbered route or proof that the labels add up neatly. The wiki is volunteer-maintained and is not managed by thatgamecompany.
Where the four Trial rewards are
The Cave of Prophecies is in the cloud wall between Dawn Temple and Dawn Overlook. The wiki listing says its gate requires two Hidden Forest Ancestor Spirits and notes a Wind Paths route as an alternative.

- Trial of Water: Complete the Trial and look for the Child of Light on the glowing mountain at the end.
- Trial of Earth: Finish the maze-like puzzle and reach the shining tower in the middle at the end.
- Trial of Air: Climb the towering islands to reach the main island at the top.
- Trial of Fire: Continue past the final checkpoint and Dark Shadows. The light stands behind the checkpoint.
According to the wiki listing, a Trial’s exit circle will not appear until you collect its Winged Light or have already claimed it.
How to check whether a light may remain
Found Map Shrines reveal map information and can indicate whether Winged Lights or spirits remain uncollected. Isle of Dawn has nine listed shrines, including five in the Prophecy area. Use the indicator as a clue about the realm or area: it is not described as a precise pinpoint for the missing collectible.

Choose a route based on what you want to collect
| Route | What it covers | Access and traversal |
|---|---|---|
| Main-realm sweep | The six landmark checks outside the Trials described above | May involve climbing or flight; the Temple ramp and butterfly cave are listed as spirit-gated unless you can fly up to the ramp. |
| All listed rewards | Main-realm sweep plus four Trial-end lights | Requires access to the Cave of Prophecies; the wiki listing says the gate requires two Hidden Forest Ancestor Spirits or describes a Wind Paths alternative. Each Trial has its own route or puzzle. |
If you are revisiting after losing Winged Light, do not assume the first-visit boat location is the only place to check: the listing describes a different appearance there after the light has been collected and lost. If the shrine indicator suggests something remains but you cannot identify it, revisit the landmarks and Trial endpoints rather than expecting the map to show its exact position.
