1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesIf daily quests or tasks are locked in Sky: Children of the Light, first check the official Known Issues page for a current service notice, then check the quest access point in Home or Aviary Village. The latest official daily-quest incident listed here was reported and resolved on August 28, 2026; it is historical context, not proof of what is causing a new player’s problem.
Check whether Sky has a current daily-quest issue
Sky’s Help Center reported an issue on August 28, 2026, involving slow or failed quest claims, missing Daily Quest spirits in Aviary Village, or a missing Daily Quest button. The notice marked that incident resolved on the same date. Check the official Known Issues list for a newer notice before treating your problem as an outage. Earlier service delays show that quests can appear late during an incident, but they do not establish the cause of a fresh lock.
Find the quest access point and identify what is blocked
Quest access can depend on the in-game location and current quest flow. The official between-season guidance describes collecting quests from the Quest Giver in Home and returning there to collect rewards. The August 28 notice also identified the Daily Quest button and spirits in Aviary Village as affected points during that incident.
- No button or Quest Giver: Check Home and the relevant quest area in Aviary Village, then look for a current Known Issues notice.
- Quest is visible but will not claim: Note whether the claim is delayed or fails outright; these were among the symptoms in the resolved August incident, but a similar symptom now may have a different cause.
- Quest appears late: Check for an official service notice rather than assuming the delay is specific to your device or account.
- Quest completed but no reward: Check whether you turned it in before the daily reset.
Check the reset if a completed quest has no reward
Daily quests and candles reset at midnight PDT during daylight saving time and midnight PST after daylight saving time ends. The official reset FAQ says: “Daily Quests must be turned in to the Quest Giver in Home before reset occurs in order to receive the quest rewards.” If you finished a task but did not turn it in before reset, that timing may explain the missing reward; it does not explain a missing quest button or an inaccessible Quest Giver.

Contact support if access remains blocked
If the quest button, spirits, or claims remain unavailable and there is no applicable live notice, report the access problem through the game: utility menu → Support → Contact Us. Sky’s support guidance asks players to check Known Issues first; blocked access to game content is an appropriate issue to report.
Include your platform, approximate time and region, what appears on screen, and whether the issue persists after relaunch. These details help describe the case; they are not a guaranteed fix. The current official daily-quest notice does not prescribe restarting, tapping a shrine twice, reinstalling, or changing network settings as remedies for a new lock.
