The best-supported guides list Fuban and Scorpionlord as sources, but another guide gives a conflicting Red Loong route, so that route should not be treated as confirmed.
How do you get Sky-Piercing Horn?
The Black Myth: Wukong Wiki and Gamer Guides list the defeated bosses Fuban and Scorpionlord as sources. Gamer Guides places Fuban in the Kingdom of Sahali secret area and Scorpionlord in the Purple Cloud Mountain secret area, and also lists Chapter 4 completion as a source. These are secondary-guide claims, not confirmation from official game documentation.
There is a notable disagreement: Game8 instead says to defeat Red Loong, near a waterfall northwest of Forest of Wolves, with Loong Scales and Chapter 1 listed as prerequisites. That conflicts with the Fuban-and-Scorpionlord sources; the available information does not establish which route, if either, is correct for every game version. Do not rely on the Red Loong instructions as settled guidance.
The exact number of horns available in a run is also unclear. Gamer Guides reports a six-item hold maximum, while GameLeap says only three can be obtained per run before New Game+. The sources do not explain how those figures relate to one another, so a reliable per-run total cannot be stated.

What is Sky-Piercing Horn used for?
The material is used to craft the Adept Spine-Shooting Fuban Staff. The community-maintained weapon entry lists this recipe:

The same community weapon entry says the staff can be crafted in New Game+. It reports 120 Attack and 25% Critical Hit Chance, and describes its special effect as restoring some Health for each Focus Point spent on a successful charged Heavy Attack while shooting spines at nearby enemies. Treat those weapon details as community-wiki information rather than official, current-version confirmation.

The community item entry reproduces the in-game description as: “Into the earth it burrows, through the sky it pierces, this singular horn of the beetle bestows its kind the ability to thrive anywhere! This can be used in crafting weapons.” The entry classifies Sky-Piercing Horn as a Mythical special crafting material.
