When did Slay the Spire 2 come out?
Mega Crit announced February 19, 2026, that Slay the Spire 2 would enter Early Access on March 5. On launch day, the studio confirmed the game was available on Steam Early Access.
The launch time in Mega Crit’s FAQ was 10:00 AM PST on March 5, 2026. That is 18:00 UTC and 1:00 PM EST on the same date. Mega Crit stated the time as PST; it should not be relabeled as PDT.
Is the Slay the Spire 2 countdown still active?
No. The countdown to the March 5, 2026 launch has ended. Any countdown showing time remaining to that release is out of date.

Where did it launch, and what platforms are listed?
The game launched through Steam Early Access. The Steam listing identifies support for Windows, macOS, and SteamOS/Linux. The available information here does not establish a console release.
What does Early Access mean for the full release?
Early Access is not the same as a completed 1.0 release. The Steam listing says further gameplay content, a true ending, game modes, balance work, bug fixes, hardware compatibility, visual effects, and additional languages are planned. It does not give a fixed date for version 1.0.

The developers’ Steam Early Access description also says, “The price of the game will increase after Early Access.” That is a stated future price change, not a current price or a date for the full release.

Mega Crit’s launch post says up to four players can team up in co-op. The studio’s FAQ specifies that online co-op is limited to Steam friends and does not include matchmaking.
