SmiteSource is a third-party companion site for SMITE 2 with community builds, rankings, player tracking, and match information. Use its builds as starting points—not automatic answers: check the god, role, game mode, and patch label, then adapt for the match in front of you.

What is SmiteSource?

SmiteSource brings together community loadouts and other player tools for SMITE 2. Its homepage includes featured, popular, and recent builds, community tier-list rankings, player tracking, leaderboards, ranks, matchup information, and recent-match details. The site states that it is not affiliated with Hi-Rez Studios, so its rankings and data should not be mistaken for official developer guidance.

A 2024 article described SmiteSource in the context of the original SMITE. The current site is centered on SMITE 2, so older descriptions should not be taken as a reliable inventory of its present tools.

How to find a build for your god and role

  1. Choose the god. Open a build for the character you intend to play.
  2. Match the role and mode. Check the listed role or lane and game mode. A build intended for Mid in Conquest may not suit the same god in another role or mode.
  3. Check the patch label. SmiteSource displays patch information on build cards, and its homepage snapshot showed “OB44 Current live patch.” Patch labels can help you identify older advice, but check the live site and current game update information before relying on balance-sensitive item recommendations.
  4. Review the starting and final loadouts. Treat the starting items as an opening plan and the final items as a reference for a completed build, not a requirement to follow a fixed sequence regardless of match conditions.
  5. Adjust to the match. Opponents, team needs, and how the game is unfolding can make a different item choice more useful than the community example.

When comparing options, compare builds for the same god, role, mode, and patch. A ranking or win rate from a different mode or patch is not a like-for-like comparison.

How to read SmiteSource build stats and tier lists

Build cards may show a win rate and match count. Read both together: a percentage without its sample size and context tells you little, and even a large sample does not prove that copying the build causes wins. The result describes the site’s recorded matches under its own data collection and display methods.

For example, a homepage snapshot accessed October 8, 2026 showed a Janus Mid/Conquest build with a 51% win rate across 454 matches and a Tsukuyomi jungle example with a 58% win rate across 432 matches. These are dated, descriptive card figures—not guarantees, controlled comparisons, or evidence that one build is better across roles or modes.

The site labels its rankings as community rankings. Treat a tier list as a snapshot of the views or data presented on that page, and check whether that page explains how its ranking is produced before interpreting it as a measure of strength. It is not an official Hi-Rez ranking.

Player tracking, match data, and site totals

SmiteSource links to player tracking and pages for leaderboards, ranks, matchups, and recent matches. These are third-party tracking tools; the homepage does not make the site an official game service.

On October 8, 2026, SmiteSource’s homepage snapshot displayed 8.8 million matches, 1.6 million players, 92 gods, and 4.0 thousand builds. These are changing totals displayed by SmiteSource, not independently audited statistics or durable measures of the game’s population. They may change as the site updates.

What SMITE 2 is—and what the site does not require

Steam describes SMITE 2 as a free-to-play, online third-person action MOBA with cross-play and cross-progression. Its listing names Conquest, Arena, Joust, Assault, and ranked Conquest among the game modes, and identifies Titan Forge Games as developer and Hi-Rez Studios as publisher. SmiteSource is a separate player resource, not a purchase required to play or follow a build.

Steam’s listing labels the game Early Access, but store metadata can lag; that label alone does not establish the game’s current release phase. Check a current official announcement or store listing if release status matters to you.
