Tactical Adventures estimates roughly 10–15 hours of play, depending on playstyle. Since Update 1 arrived on September 10, 2026, players can also tackle the game online with up to four people. The developer is aiming for version 1.0 about a year after Early Access began, but has not announced a firm release date.
Is Solasta 2 in Early Access?
Yes. Tactical Adventures launched Solasta II on Steam Early Access on March 12, 2026. The official site continued to list it as an Early Access game in September, with Update 1 on September 10, a hotfix on September 14, and beta branch v0.4.3.113670 on September 17. It remains an evolving PC game, rather than a finished campaign. Tactical Adventures’ launch announcement and the official site and FAQ document its status and updates.
What is included now?
Steam describes the current release as a portion of Act I, with six classes, four ancestries, and a level cap of 4. The planned 1.0 version is intended to raise the cap to 10 and conclude the main questline, alongside more classes, locations, spells, encounters, items, characters, monsters, and side quests. Those are development plans and may change; they should not be read as a guarantee of a particular schedule or final feature list. See the Steam Early Access description.
How long is Solasta 2 Early Access?
Tactical Adventures estimates approximately 10–15 hours for the Early Access version, depending on playstyle. That is an estimate for the current release, not a promise of campaign length for version 1.0. The partial Act I and level-4 cap help explain why this is a shorter, incomplete slice rather than a full-length finished RPG. The estimate appears in the official FAQ.

What did Update 1 add?
Released September 10, 2026, Update 1 expanded the game with multiplayer and new character and world content. The developer’s Update 1 announcement details the additions.
Warlock, customization, and World Events
- Warlock: A new class with two subclasses, The Time Keeper and The Dreamer.
- Character customization: Options include hairstyles, beards, tattoos, and warpaints.
- World Events: 30 were added; 15 came from community contest submissions.
Other additions and changes
- Ability-score rolling uses 4d6, keeping the best three results.
- An option can remove spell-component requirements.
- Cloud saves synchronize through Steam.
- A controller shortcut for Cautious Mode was added.
Can you play Solasta 2 co-op?
Yes. Update 1 added online co-op for up to four players. One player hosts a new party or an existing save and can invite up to three friends. Players can hot-join, vote on dialogue choices, and use pings to point out map locations or characters. The game has no built-in voice chat, so groups who want voice communication need to use another service. Multiplayer availability and the four-player limit are also listed in the official FAQ.

Do you need to play Solasta: Crown of the Magister first?
No. Solasta II shares a world with Solasta: Crown of the Magister, but follows a new story in a different location about a century later. Its four adventurers journey toward the continent of Neokos and a threat associated with Shadwyn. The game is based on the SRD 5.2 ruleset, and the developer says prior knowledge of the first game is not required. A tabletop rules book is optional background reading, not a game requirement. The setting and rules information is in the Steam listing and official FAQ.
When is the full release?
Tactical Adventures has said it is aiming to release version 1.0 about a year after Early Access began. Because Early Access started on March 12, 2026, that indicates an approximate target around a year later—not a confirmed launch date. No firm 1.0 date is established in the developer’s official FAQ.

Should you buy during Early Access or wait?
The decision comes down to whether the current slice is enough for you. Early Access may suit players who want to try the tactical RPG now, play its new co-op mode, and accept an incomplete campaign as it develops. Waiting makes more sense if you want a concluded main questline, a higher level cap, or a finished release rather than a portion of Act I.
- Consider buying now if the estimated 10–15 hours, level-4 cap, and partial Act I meet your expectations, and you are comfortable with a game that is still being updated.
- Consider waiting if you would rather play the complete planned main questline or prefer not to engage with an unfinished release.
- Check your PC first: Compare your system with Steam’s listed minimum requirements; they do not establish how the game will perform on your specific hardware.
The game is sold digitally on Steam. Tactical Adventures’ launch announcement describes the Supporter Pack DLC as cosmetic and says no game content is locked behind it. The official materials cited here do not establish a physical edition.
