Your assignment is to find a missing agent in the Valley of the Dominion; after the party is trapped there, the practical route to finishing the mission and escaping runs through helping local factions and choosing whom to support. That choice shapes the story and its ending.
What to expect in Lost Valley
The DLC begins with a search for an agent of the Principality of Masgarth. The party enters the remote Valley of the Dominion, where remnants of Manacalon traditions survived the Cataclysm, and becomes caught in a struggle among competing powers. The campaign’s premise turns the assignment into an escape-and-alliance story: residents are more likely to help newcomers who have helped them.

The store description portrays Orenetis as the Dominion’s tyrant, while the campaign description presents a ruler who appears benevolent amid political tension. Treat that appearance as part of the story’s uncertainty, not as a reason to assume every faction is trustworthy.

Walkthrough: the route through the campaign
1. Start with the missing-agent assignment
Follow the investigation into the missing Masgarth agent. Once the party is stranded in the Valley, adjust your immediate goal: learn who holds power locally, find people willing to assist, and work toward an alliance that can help complete the mission and get the party out.
2. Help the people you meet before committing to a side
Approach the Valley’s quests as more than a checklist. The official campaign description makes local help conditional on helping locals, while the story’s nonlinear design makes faction alignment consequential. Take time to pursue available assistance and understand the competing interests before you make a major commitment.
3. Choose a faction with your intended ending in mind
Faction support shapes the main route and the ending. Decide which group you want to back based on the kind of outcome you want, rather than assuming every faction’s quest line can be completed in one run. Save before major faction decisions as a practical precaution; this is sensible preparation, not a claim that every commitment has a known, universal point-of-no-return trigger.

4. Finish the mission and escape with your allies
Use the support you have built to pursue the mission’s conclusion and leave the Valley. The campaign is explicitly replayable, so a second run with another faction is the intended way to explore a different political outcome—not a sign that you failed by being unable to see every branch at once.
How to handle faction quests and missed content
There is no safe universal order for every faction and side quest based on the official campaign information. It establishes branching and faction-linked endings, but it does not enumerate every trigger, lockout, or compatibility rule. Avoid treating a single proposed quest order as guaranteed to preserve all content.
- Before accepting a faction-defining choice, make a separate save so you can revisit the decision.
- Complete side quests that are currently available before advancing a major faction commitment if you want to reduce the chance of missing content.
- Pay attention to changes in how factions respond to the party; hostility can affect quest outcomes.
- For a completion-focused run, track unresolved quests in your journal and revisit relevant contacts after major story developments.
- For a role-play-focused run, commit to the faction that fits your character and accept that another playthrough may be needed for other outcomes.
Tactical Adventures’ 2023 patch notes record a condition-dependent failure for Secret Report after angering Orenetis, alongside other individual quest and travel fixes. That is evidence that choices and quest states can matter, not a complete map of faction lockouts. If a quest behaves unexpectedly, check its journal state and the current faction relationship rather than assuming the campaign has one fixed sequence.

Tactical Adventures names Giants, Hags, and Golems among the campaign’s foes. The DLC also adds Jungle, Swamp, Valley City, and Valley Palace environments to Dungeon Maker.
