Sony India’s “Summer Promo” offered up to ₹13,000 off the older standard PS5 disc model, CFI-1208A01R, from April 10 to April 30, 2024, or while stocks lasted. That offer has expired; it is not a current deal. The maximum-discount scenario brought the reported ₹54,990 regular price to ₹41,990, but the full reduction was not guaranteed for every buyer.
Which PS5 received the ₹13,000 discount?
The headline discount applied to the older standard PlayStation 5 with a disc drive, model CFI-1208A01R. It did not mean that every PS5 version was discounted by ₹13,000. The Indian Express reported a regular price of ₹54,990 and a possible price of ₹41,990 at the maximum reduction. Treat ₹41,990 as the best-case promotional figure, not a guaranteed checkout price. The Indian Express’ 2024 report and Gizmochina’s coverage date the promotion to April 10–30, 2024, or until stocks ran out.
Is the PS5 ₹13,000 offer still available?
No. The April 2024 Summer Promo has ended. Reports at the time named Amazon India, Blinkit, Croma, Flipkart, Reliance, Sony Center and Vijay Sales as participating sellers, but that historical list does not establish a current deal or stock at any of them. Gadgets 360’s coverage also distinguishes the older console promotion from later Slim-model offers.
The latest India pricing information cited here is from a Moneycontrol report published July 30, 2026: it said the PS5 Standard Edition price had risen from ₹54,990 to ₹69,990 and that ShopAtSC showed it out of stock at the time. The report did not confirm a revised Digital Edition price. Prices and availability can change, so check the official listing and retailer checkout before buying.

How the discounted console differs from the PS5 Slim
The 2024 offer concerned the older disc model, not the Slim. The Indian Express reported that the Slim disc version launched in India at ₹54,990, with 1TB of storage, compared with 825GB in the older model. These are historical comparison points, not current prices or a full specification comparison. Confirm the exact model and specifications on the listing before purchase. The Indian Express’ Slim coverage describes that distinction.

What to check before buying a PS5 in India
- Edition: Confirm whether the listing is for a disc or Digital Edition; the ₹13,000 promotion referred to the older disc console.
- Model and generation: Check whether the product is the older CFI-1208A01R or a Slim model rather than relying on a generic “PS5” headline.
- Final price: Compare the amount shown at checkout with the listing price. The reported ₹41,990 was a maximum-discount scenario during the expired 2024 promotion.
- Availability and seller: Verify current stock and who is selling the console; past participation by a retailer does not confirm a live offer.
- Warranty: Check the warranty terms for the specific Indian listing. The cited reports do not establish current warranty coverage.
