Yes—Sony Store Japan requires applicants to have at least 60 combined hours of PS4 and/or PS5 gameplay on the same Japan-registered Sony account they use to apply. Only play logged from September 27, 2024 through September 27, 2026 at 23:59 Japan time counts. That play window has closed; additional hours played after September 27 cannot make an applicant eligible. Applications close October 7, 2026 at 23:59 Japan time, according to Sony Interactive Entertainment / PlayStation Japan.
Who can apply, and which play counts?
The campaign is for accounts registered in Japan and used for PlayStation online services. The applicant must apply while signed in to that account, and the 60-hour requirement is measured against it. Sony allows the qualifying total to come from PS4, PS5, or a combination of both.

Does meeting the requirement guarantee a PS5 Pro?
No. Meeting the account and play conditions makes an application qualifying; it does not guarantee a console. Sony says it will hold a lottery if qualifying applications exceed the planned number of units. The notice does not state that unit count.

No such conclusion follows from Sony’s lottery notice. It describes this particular Sony Store application, not all retailer availability. This campaign requires the specified Japan account and qualifying play; an Amazon or other retailer listing is not an application to this lottery. Current third-party stock and prices are not established here, so check a retailer directly and confirm the model and terms before buying.
