Soulframe character creation happens in two stages: story choices shape the Envoy’s initial appearance, and a later appearance editor becomes available through Verminia in the Nightfold after you complete Brewer of Hues. Your Envoy Name is separate from those appearance choices.
How Soulframe character creation works
The detailed mechanics currently documented by the Soulframe Italia community wiki describe an early, story-led stage rather than a standalone avatar editor at the start. The Envoy’s initial appearance is shaped indirectly by choices about Mother’s physical traits during Warsongs. The Envoy’s sex is selected separately during the Torque Inquisitor sequence of Rise, Envoy.

After that opening stage, the Envoy can be customized later in the game. Soulframe’s official news index lists character customization among the topics covered in its February 1, 2026 Devstream 12 overview, but the indexed overview does not provide the detailed option list.
When the appearance editor unlocks
Complete Brewer of Hues, then speak with Verminia in the Nightfold to access appearance customization, according to the community wiki. The sources do not establish a specific player level or amount of playtime required, so the quest completion is the practical unlock condition to follow.

- Odd-1-Out — Which one doesn’t belong? — You’ll be given four terms, but only three share something in common. Your job is to spot the odd-one-out.
- Sequence — What’s the order? — Organize movies by release date, cities by distance, historical events by year, animals by size, and more in this logic-based challenge.
- Wild Card — Antything Goes! — This unpredictable category throws surprises like Brain Trivia, Word Whiz, True or False, Memory Lane, and more! You never know what’s coming your way!
What you can customize
The documented appearance controls cover these areas:
- Hair: hairstyle and color.
- Face and eyes: facial features and eye appearance. The community wiki says male and female facial structures are available to all Envoys by default.
- Gender and body type: options for the Envoy’s gender and body type.
- Complexion: skin appearance and palettes.
A separate cosmetics overview also lists hairstyle and color, face and eyes, and gender and complexion. It characterizes Envoy customization as appearance-focused and says cosmetics do not affect player stats. That statement concerns the cosmetic system described there; it should not be read as a claim about armor, Pacts, or every kind of equipment.

- PERFECT FOR GAME NIGHT: A quick, replayable, and deeply engaging experience for 2–5 players, ages 8 and up. Great for couples, families, and fans of The Mind and The Game series.
Early choices versus later edits
| Stage | Where it happens | What it affects |
|---|---|---|
| Initial appearance choices | Warsongs | Mother’s physical traits influence the Envoy’s initial appearance. |
| Envoy sex selection | Torque Inquisitor sequence of Rise, Envoy | Selects the Envoy’s sex. |
| Later appearance customization | Speak to Verminia in the Nightfold after Brewer of Hues | Documented controls include hair, face and eyes, gender/body type, and complexion. |
This distinction matters if you are asking whether you can shape your face: the later editor is the documented route for appearance customization, while the opening choices are tied to story sequences.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is Envoy Name part of character customization?
No. Soulframe Support calls the in-game name the Envoy Name and says it is entered during account creation. It can contain letters, numbers, periods, underscores, and dashes. Support describes it this way: “This is your in-game name, so choose it carefully.” The name is an account detail, not a face, body, or appearance control. See Soulframe Support’s account-creation instructions.

Accessing Soulframe
The official Soulframe download page says Preludes access is required to play and offers sign-up for a chance to receive an invite. Access availability and system information can change, so check that page for current details. This describes access to the game, not a separate requirement for character creation.
What is confirmed—and what may change
The specific sequence and option details above come from a community wiki, while official confirmation located for this topic is higher-level: the official news index identifies character customization as a Devstream 12 subject. Soulframe is under development, so mechanics and labels may change; use the current in-game instructions if they differ from the published descriptions.
