As of October 7, 2026, the available release information does not support a reliable list of seven upcoming Soulslikes. Two strong candidates remain: The Duskbloods and Valor Mortis, though Valor Mortis has conflicting reported dates. Phantom Blade Zero has a firm October date but is not established as a Soulslike by the sources available here; Tides of Annihilation is a genre-adjacent possibility without a confirmed 2026 date. Several games still appearing on older lists have dates that have passed, and Lords of the Fallen II has moved to 2027.
“Biggest” here means notable by developer, franchise, visibility, or genre relevance—not a measured ranking by sales or audience. Release calendars can change, so check the latest official announcement before making plans.
Which Soulslike games are still coming in 2026?
The strongest remaining fits are The Duskbloods and Valor Mortis. Their dates are not equally certain: one has a broad release window, while reporting on the other conflicts. The other games below are useful to track, but should not be treated as confirmed entries in a strict list of 2026 Soulslikes.
| Game | 2026 timing | How it fits this list | Platform or source note |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Duskbloods | 2026 window; no fixed date stated | Strong candidate; online multiplayer action game | Nintendo identifies it as a Switch 2 exclusive. |
| Valor Mortis | Conflicting dates: September 24 in Xbox Wire’s June 7 showcase recap; October 13 in GamesRadar’s October 1 guide | Strong candidate; described in current coverage as a first-person Soulslike/action RPG | By One More Level, the studio known for Ghostrunner. |
| Phantom Blade Zero | October 29, 2026, per S-GAME and the PlayStation Store | Adjacent action game; strict Soulslike classification not established | S-GAME describes it as a Wuxia action experience. |
| Tides of Annihilation | Firm 2026 date not established | Adjacent action-adventure; strict Soulslike classification not established | Coverage describes it as inspired by Arthurian legend. |
The strongest Soulslike candidates
The Duskbloods
FromSoftware’s The Duskbloods is an online multiplayer action game, a meaningful departure from the studio’s familiar solo-focused Soulsborne format. Nintendo’s listing makes the platform limitation clear: it is exclusive to Switch 2. That combination makes it a notable genre-adjacent release for players who own the console and want a multiplayer experience, but its format may not suit someone looking specifically for a traditional solo campaign.

Valor Mortis
One More Level’s first-person perspective and alternate nineteenth-century setting distinguish Valor Mortis from the third-person fantasy action RPGs that dominate Soulslike discussions. Its release timing is not settled by the reporting cited here: Xbox Wire’s June 7, 2026 showcase recap gives September 24, while GamesRadar’s October 1 guide lists October 13. Treat neither date as definitive without checking the live developer or store listing.
Two adjacent games to watch
Phantom Blade Zero
S-GAME’s creative director announced that the launch moved from September 9 to October 29, 2026; the PlayStation Store also lists October 29. The developer frames the game as a Wuxia action experience. That makes it relevant to action-game fans, but the available material does not establish it as a strict Soulslike, so it should not be counted as one without qualification.

Tides of Annihilation
Tides of Annihilation is described in current coverage as an action-adventure inspired by Arthurian legend. The available information does not establish either a firm 2026 release date or a strict Soulslike classification. It belongs on an adjacent-game watchlist, not among confirmed 2026 Soulslike releases.

Some titles commonly included in earlier roundups no longer qualify as upcoming based on their announced dates. A date passing does not, by itself, establish that a game shipped; check its current store or publisher status before treating it as released.

Lords of the Fallen II should not be included as a 2026 release: CI Games now targets Q1 2027. Older pages and announcements that still show 2026 have been superseded by the newer company update.

How to use this watchlist
- For a strict Soulslike shortlist, start with The Duskbloods and Valor Mortis, while accounting for their different date certainty and play styles.
- If you are open to adjacent action games, track Phantom Blade Zero and Tides of Annihilation separately rather than treating their genre or timing as settled.
- For any game with a conflicting or broad date, favor the latest official developer, publisher, or store notice over an older roundup.
