Spin Master announced Toca Boca Days on April 30, 2024, describing it as Toca Boca’s first multiplayer game: a digital world for kids and tweens built around self-expression, social connection and creating together. The game was tested in Australia, New Zealand, Sweden and Canada, but Toca Boca later discontinued it. Since August 25, 2025, it has not been available to download or play.
What Spin Master announced
Spin Master said Toca Boca was entering multiplayer gaming with Toca Boca Days, planned to begin rolling out market by market in summer 2024. The announcement presented it as an emotionally rewarding, kids-first environment where players could interact, collaborate and express themselves through open-ended play.

Emil Ovemar, Toca Boca co-founder and head of studio, described the idea this way: “For the first time ever, you can create, explore, and express yourself together with your friends in the Toca Boca universe.”
Mathilda Engman, then head of product at Toca Boca, said the studio aimed to give kids and tweens a safe space to express their identities and meet a need for belonging in multiplayer gaming. Spin Master’s announcement also cited Toca Boca’s more than 60 million monthly active users at that time and noted that the studio’s earlier work had been recognized with Apple’s 2021 iPhone App of the Year award. Why Toca Boca Days is no longer available
Toca Boca says it tested Toca Boca Days in Australia, New Zealand, Sweden and Canada to assess whether it could be released worldwide. The studio ultimately discontinued development. It described Days as its first development of a 3D multiplayer universe and said it would apply what it learned to other creative projects.
The game stopped being available to download or play on August 25, 2025, when its servers shut down. Toca Boca says it is now focusing on other creative work and enhancing Toca Boca World. The company has not said in the cited notice that World restores Days’ multiplayer features. See Toca Boca’s official Days notice.
Can you still download or play it?
No. Toca Boca says the game is no longer available to download or play, and that its servers have shut down. Installing an old copy does not restore the online game.
What happened to player data and purchases?
Toca Boca stated that personal data associated with Toca Boca Days would be deleted on August 25, 2025 in accordance with its privacy policies and legal requirements, including GDPR and COPPA. The company said no user data would be stored after shutdown.

What can former players try instead?
Toca Boca points players toward Toca Boca World as a destination for its ongoing creative work. It is a separate digital game; Toca Boca’s notice says it is enhancing World’s features and content, but does not say that it includes Days’ multiplayer experience.
