Netflix mobile access still requires a supported phone or tablet, an active Netflix subscription and an internet connection. Most urgently, Netflix Login is scheduled to end on October 22, 2026, so players who want to keep their progress must save and activate a migration code by the stated deadlines.
What is Spirit Crossing?
Spirit Crossing is a cozy, cooperative village life sim from Spry Fox, which Netflix introduced in 2025 as a “massively cooperative life sim” and cozy MMO. Its central idea is to build and nurture a village with other players rather than play through a purely solitary life-sim routine.

The announced activities include building and decorating homes and the village, gathering resources, making friends, riding “fluffaloback,” joining dance parties and jam sessions, and exploring by gliding, climbing, building and trampolining. These are announcement-era descriptions; the game is still in development, so features and details may change. Netflix’s announcement describes the original concept, while Spry Fox’s current support page explains its Alpha status.
Is Spirit Crossing available now?
Yes. Spry Fox says Spirit Crossing is officially open to everyone, but it remains in Alpha—not a finished or full release. The developer warns that the game may change substantially and that the current build may not represent the final product. Access is therefore available, but players should expect an evolving game.

How can you play Spirit Crossing?
Netflix on phones and tablets
Netflix lists Spirit Crossing for Android phones and tablets, iPhone and iPad. Mobile requirements are Android 8.0 or later, iOS 15 or later, or iPadOS 15 or later, plus an active Netflix subscription, internet access to download, install and play, and enough device storage. Netflix lists both single-player and multiplayer modes, but also identifies the game as online multiplayer: offline play is not available. Check the Netflix Help Center listing for current device and access details.
Steam and Steam Deck
Spry Fox also documents a Steam version and says it is separate from the mobile version. The developer describes Spirit Crossing as playable on Steam Deck, while cautioning that the experience is not fully bug-free and platform-specific issues remain. Steam Deck is an option for handheld PC play, not a requirement. Check Spry Fox’s platform and language support page for current details.

What Netflix players must do before the login transition
Spry Fox’s migration notice, updated September 24, 2026, says Netflix Login will no longer be supported on October 22, 2026. To keep progress, save your Progress Migration Code by October 22 and activate it on another platform by November 29, 2026. Follow the developer’s migration instructions and do not assume that simply installing the Steam version transfers a save.
- The Steam and mobile versions are separate, and the documented migration is the route for carrying progress from Netflix.
- Migration overwrites existing progress on the Steam account used. If that account already has a save you want to keep, Spry Fox advises considering a separate Steam account.
- Your name after migration will use your Steam profile name.
The announced dates are close and concern account access as well as progress: players who want to retain their existing progress need to meet both the code-saving and activation deadlines.

How much does Spirit Crossing cost?
On mobile, access requires an active Netflix subscription; Netflix’s current listing does not establish a separate Spirit Crossing purchase price. Spry Fox lists a planned Steam price of US$29.99 with a planned 20% launch discount, and says currency pricing will be adjusted. That is a pricing plan, not confirmation of the current checkout price; check the live Steam listing before buying. Spry Fox says there are currently no real-money purchases, while optional item sales may be added in the future. The developer says its intention is for any such purchases to remain nice-to-have rather than required. See Spry Fox’s pricing and monetization information.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Can Spirit Crossing progress be wiped?
Yes. Spry Fox says progress wipes are possible during Alpha and Beta, and says it will give advance notice before planned wipes. The developer has not described this as a currently scheduled wipe. Treat an Alpha save as potentially temporary. Spry Fox explains the wipe policy here.
