How long was the demo?

What players could try
The free Nintendo Switch demo offered online 4-on-4 Turf War. Matches took place on Musselforge Fitness and The Reef, selected randomly during the event. Nintendo listed four main weapon choices: Splat Dualies and remixed versions of the Splat Roller, Splat Charger and Splattershot. Nintendo UK’s preparation FAQ and event-day notice describe the format and participation details.

At the time, Nintendo said participants needed a Nintendo Switch, an internet connection, a Nintendo Account and the free demo software. The software was available to download through Nintendo eShop or from the Splatoon 2 game page, according to Nintendo’s announcements. Those were requirements for the 2017 event; downloading the software now does not reopen the expired Testfire.
