Team Past won Splatoon 3’s Grand Festival Splatfest with 500 points, ahead of Team Present’s 370; Team Future finished with 0. Present received the largest share of votes, however, narrowly edging Past. Nintendo’s results separate the vote from the clout categories that determined the final standings.
Grand Festival results
The Splatfest asked, “Which is the most important to you?” Players chose Past, Present, or Future. Nintendo’s official Grand Festival results show the following percentages and final points:

Why Team Present led the vote but Team Past won
Present’s 33.93% was the highest vote share, just above Past’s 33.42%. But vote share was only one part of the results. Past led in all three listed clout categories: Open, Pro, and Tricolor. The two standings therefore answer different questions: Present was the most popular choice by votes, while Past earned the most points overall.
Who represented each team?
The teams were paired with Splatoon’s musical groups: the Squid Sisters represented Past, Off the Hook represented Present, and Deep Cut represented Future. Nintendo’s Splatoon series chronology describes the event as a 72-hour festival at the Grand Splatlands Bowl, featuring three stages and performances by all three groups. They also joined as Now or Never Seven to perform “Three Wishes.”

When was the Grand Festival?
Nintendo’s update history lists version 9.1.0 as released on September 11, 2024, and says it added data for the Grand Festival. That is the update’s release date, not a statement of the event’s complete start and end schedule. Nintendo’s chronology calls the Grand Festival the largest Splatfest ever and confirms Past as the winner.

The result establishes Team Past as the winner of this Splatfest. It does not establish that the win dictated a particular future Splatoon game’s story or setting; claims about sequel direction should be treated as speculation unless Nintendo confirms them.
