When did Split Fiction go gold?
Fares announced the milestone on January 27, 2025. KitGuru reproduced his post: “And also #splitfiction has now gone gold. So get ready on March 6.” KitGuru’s January 29, 2025 report covered the announcement. EA also posted that the game had “finally gone gold,” after adding “a few more orcs and battle robots,” as quoted by Push Square.

What did the gold announcement mean?
“Gone gold” is a release-preparation milestone: the final software build is prepared for distribution, including production of physical discs. It does not mean development can never continue. Post-launch patches may still be released, so the announcement was not a guarantee that the launch version would be bug-free or require no updates. KitGuru’s coverage explains the milestone and notes the possibility of post-launch patches.
What platforms and release date were announced?
Contemporary coverage listed a March 6, 2025 release for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. That was the announced schedule at the time, not an upcoming date now. PlayStation Universe reported the date and platforms on January 28, 2025.

What is Split Fiction about?
