Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →In SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated, the safest way to handle a robot is to read its attack, then choose the right move and position. Fodder and Ham-mer are reported to go down in one hit, while ranged or specialized robots can demand extra hits, a specific ability, or a carefully timed approach. The regular-enemy advice below comes from fan references and a community guide, not an official developer manual; treat it as a tactical starting point and confirm move timing in your game.
How to read robot encounters
SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy each have distinct abilities, and the game pits them against Plankton’s robot army. The official PlayStation product page describes the playable characters, their unique skills, and restored content. For an overview of the premise, see THQ Nordic’s game page.
In practical terms, watch for the attack cue: a charging melee robot, a projectile, a rocket, a spray, a spinning slap, or a weather effect. Some secondary references also describe visible danger areas for incoming shots in Rehydrated; use those warnings to move out of the threatened space rather than relying on instructions from the original game alone. The broad combat description on the ESRB rating page mentions melee-style combat and a crosshair-targeted bubble missile, but it is not a move-by-move guide.
Regular robot enemies and reported counters
The entries below summarize reported behavior and counters from secondary enemy references. Hit counts and move recommendations are not official specifications, and the available material does not establish an authoritative, complete roster.

| Robot | Reported attack or behavior | Reported counter |
|---|---|---|
| Fodder | Runs at the player with an electric staff; may appear in groups. | One hit is reported to defeat it. Keep moving if several approach together. |
| Ham-mer | Uses a heavy ham as a hammer, making close range the main concern. | One hit is reported to defeat it; avoid lingering near it as it attacks. |
| Tar-Tar | Shoots tartar sauce from range. | Two hits are reported. Move away from the incoming shot’s danger area when it appears. |
| Chuck | Throws rockets from a distance. | A reported counter is SpongeBob’s Viking hat move when positioned below Chuck. The positioning condition matters; the reference does not establish exact timing. |
| Chomp-Bot | Sprays an attack described in fan references as “stinky dog breath.” | One hit is reported to defeat it. Avoid standing in the spray’s path. |
| G-Love | Spins and slaps at the player. | Jump over it while it spins, then use Bubble Feet, according to the reference. |
| Monsoon | Creates rain clouds to attack. | A Bubble Rocket is reported as a counter; a basic attack may work in some situations. |
Names and attack descriptions are drawn from the SpongePedia Rehydrated reference and a Steam Community enemy guide. They are useful tactical leads, but neither is developer documentation. If a recommended counter does not work in your encounter, prioritize avoiding the attack and try another character ability rather than assuming every robot follows the same hit rule.
Other named robots
Secondary references also name Tubelet, Slick, Sleepy-Time, Awf (also written Awf Dog), and BZZT-Bot. The available descriptions do not establish dependable counters for these entries, so this guide does not assign them moves or hit counts. Treat the names as leads for identifying what you encounter, not as a confirmed full roster.

Robot bosses
Boss encounters are distinct from the ordinary robot classes above. The following locations and tactics are reported by secondary references; use them as guidance rather than guaranteed phase-by-phase instructions.
Robo-Sandy — Poseidome
The reported weak point is a button beneath Robo-Sandy’s head. The reference says Patrick can throw her head and SpongeBob can use Viking Smash against it. The key is to target the exposed weak point rather than treating the boss as an ordinary enemy.

- High-end visuals, modern resolutions and carefully polished gameplay
- Brand new horde mode multiplayer for up to two players, online and splitscreen
Prawn — Mermalair
Prawn is reported to attack with a repulsor ray. The suggested SpongeBob counter is the bowling ball attack when a safe, uncolored row of tiles is available; wait for a suitable lane rather than rolling into a threatened area.
Robo-Patrick — Industrial Park
Reported attacks include toxic sludge and icy breath. The target is the “Kick Me” sign on Robo-Patrick’s back, so positioning behind him is central to the tactic. A secondary remake reference also describes danger areas for toxic waste; move clear of them before trying to line up the target.

Robo Squidward and the final robot encounter
The official PlayStation page identifies the Robo Squidward boss fight as restored content in Rehydrated. Do not assume it was present in the original release. Secondary references discuss a Robo SpongeBob/Robo Plankton final-boss context, but the available material does not establish reliable phase-specific instructions, so no detailed counter is given here.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Using the guide across versions
Rehydrated is a remake, and secondary sources report changes such as visible danger areas for projectiles and toxic attacks. That means advice copied from the original game may not describe exactly what you see. Confirm the attack animation and on-screen warning in your version, then use the counter as a starting point. Official product information supports the game’s characters, robot premise, and restored Robo Squidward content; the exact enemy tactics in this guide remain secondary-source guidance.
