The SpongeBob-themed Jellyfish Jam dance emote is listed at 500 V-Bucks, but it is only purchasable when it appears in Fortnite’s rotating Item Shop. Check the live shop for current availability; a past appearance does not confirm it is on sale today.
How to get Jellyfish Jam in Fortnite
- Open Fortnite and check the live Item Shop.
- Look for Jellyfish Jam in the SpongeBob SquarePants set. It is listed as an Uncommon dance emote for 500 V-Bucks.
- If it is offered, select it and complete the purchase with V-Bucks. If it is absent, you will need to wait for a possible return; Epic says the shop rotates and recommends checking back when an item is unavailable.
Epic does not provide a confirmed return date for this cosmetic. A shop archive records Jellyfish Jam on September 7, 2026, for 500 V-Bucks, but that is a historical snapshot and does not establish availability on October 8, 2026. Epic’s Item Shop guidance explains the rotation; the September 7 archive shows only what was in that day’s shop.

Jellyfish Jam and Lil’ Big Jellyfish are different emotes
Fortnite also has a separate SpongeBob-themed emote called Lil’ Big Jellyfish. Both are listed at 500 V-Bucks and were released on December 20, 2025, but their types differ:

What “SpongeBob in Fortnite” means
The cosmetics arrived after an earlier SpongeBob-themed Fortnite project. On December 17, 2024, GameSquare announced four UEFN islands developed by Zoned with Paramount Game Studios: SpongeBob Red vs Blue, Bikini Bottom Prop Hunt, SpongeBob Slap Fight, and Bikini Bottom Only Up. The announcement said the campaign was not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Epic Games; it described the island collaboration, not the later Jellyfish Jam emote.
At the time, Paramount Senior Vice President of Games and Emerging Media Doug Rosen said: “We know so many fans of SpongeBob SquarePants are gamers, so it was a natural next step for us to bring Bikini Bottom to life in this authentic format for them.” Read the GameSquare announcement for the island campaign details.
