Offworld Industries released it on November 12, 2025, under the official names Squad 10.0 and Trident Strike. It is a historical update, not the current version: the official news index lists later releases, including 10.6 in October 2026.
What was the 10th Anniversary Update?
Offworld Industries’ Squad 10.0 patch notes describe the AFU as “a conventional BLUFOR faction.” Its equipment combines indigenously produced Ukrainian gear with modernized Soviet-era equipment. The release also included bug fixes, system and gameplay changes, balance adjustments, weapon skins and emotes, and revised store and customization screens.

The update is best understood as a broad content release built around the AFU, rather than a faction-only addition. The specific vehicles and mechanics below are descriptions of in-game content, not guidance on real-world military equipment.
Which AFU battlegroups can you play?
The eight battlegroups offer different combinations of mobility, protection, firepower, and support. These are the roles and trade-offs described in the official notes:

What new AFU vehicles and weapons were added?
The notes highlight vehicles suited to different battlefield roles, from logistics and transport to armored infantry movement and artillery:
- KrAZ-6322: logistics and transport variants, as well as a BM-21 Grad artillery variant.
- Kozak-2M1: an open-top armored car in NSV and AGS-17 variants.
- BMP-1TS: a tracked infantry fighting vehicle.
- BTR-4: a wheeled infantry fighting vehicle. The notes call it the game’s first IFV with a fully modeled interior for crew and passengers.
- T-64BM2 Bulat: a main battle tank.
Featured AFU infantry weapons include the Malyuk rifle in several calibers and the Ukrainian-developed Zbroyar UAR-10 marksman rifle.

What new mechanics and commander abilities arrived?
The Stugna-P emplacement can be controlled remotely from a control unit placed within 30 meters. This lets the operator stay in cover while another player reloads the launcher. The update also added an SU-25 precision-bomb-strike commander ability; the notes list the Bayraktar TB2 reconnaissance UAV and artillery barrages among commander abilities.
What changed beyond the AFU faction?
- Scout drones: maximum ceiling, speed, battery life, and camera magnification were reduced, and collision exploits were fixed.
- Vehicles: brake and handbrake tuning was improved across vehicles.
- Maps: new Invasion v3 layers arrived for Black Coast and Gorodok, alongside other map fixes.
- Interfaces: the Armory customization menu was new, and the store screen was refined.
What did Squad 10.0 mean for modders?
The Mod SDK and mod version moved to 10.0. The patch notes said mods needed to be re-cooked with the v10.0 SDK for compatibility, and added the ability to attach Workshop tags when uploading mods. These are release-era instructions: the game has since received later updates, so check current documentation before using them as guidance for a present-day mod.
