First, verify that you are troubleshooting the right game and platform
STALCRAFT: X’s official website describes registering and installing its launcher, and its Steam listing presents Windows system requirements. Those sources do not confirm a PS5 edition or give PS5 crash instructions. Check the game’s official platform information and your PlayStation library before treating a crash as a STALCRAFT-specific problem. If you mean a different PS5 game, the following steps are general PlayStation guidance.

Restart the PS5

Install the game’s available update
Check for an update for the affected game and install it if one is available. PlayStation includes game updates among its recommended checks for crashes and freezes. An update is not proof that a particular crash has been fixed.

Check for and install available system software updates. PlayStation recommends this for both games that crash and games that fail to launch.

Move the game from USB extended storage, if applicable
If the game is on USB extended storage and will not start, move its game data to the console’s internal storage and test again. This is a launch troubleshooting step listed by PlayStation, not a universal remedy for crashes.

Restore licenses if the game will not start
PlayStation lists restoring licenses as an option for a game that will not launch. Use the PS5’s restore-licenses setting, then try opening the game again.

Test from the beginning to check for a save-specific problem
For a game that crashes or freezes, PlayStation recommends testing from the beginning to see whether the existing save may be corrupted. Treat this as a diagnostic test: keep your existing progress in mind, and do not delete a save unless you understand the consequences and have a suitable backup.

Delete and reinstall the game
PlayStation recommends deleting and reinstalling a game for persistent crashes or launch problems. Before doing so, check how your save data is stored and protected; reinstalling the game and deleting saved progress are not the same action.

Use Safe Mode to clear the cache or rebuild the database
For a game that will not start, PlayStation lists clearing the system software cache or rebuilding the database through Safe Mode. Follow PlayStation’s on-screen instructions carefully and select the specific troubleshooting option you intend to use.

Contact the right support team based on how widespread the problem is
If only one game is affected, PlayStation advises contacting that game’s publisher to ask about known issues. If multiple games crash, PlayStation says there may be a console issue and directs players to PlayStation Repairs. Note the error code, what you were doing immediately before the crash, and whether other games are affected; PlayStation asks for a detailed description and, if possible, a screenshot or video.
