Is this the first Star Trek: Voyager game in over 20 years?
That exact interval should be treated as unconfirmed. Daedalic Entertainment’s announcement says the series is being brought “back to games,” but it does not substantiate a precise gap of more than 20 years. Earlier Voyager-related games include Star Trek: Voyager – Elite Force and an arcade game dated 2002; without a complete, authoritative chronology and a clear definition of what counts as a Voyager game, the “first in over 20 years” claim cannot be stated as established fact. Daedalic’s announcement is the primary source for the new game, not proof of that historical interval.
What kind of game is Across the Unknown?
Developed by gameXcite and published by Daedalic Entertainment under license from Paramount Consumer Products, Across the Unknown is a story-driven survival strategy game. You command the U.S.S. Voyager as it attempts to return from the Delta Quadrant. Rather than locking the player to the television series’ events, the game presents a “what if?” journey in which decisions can alter the ship’s configuration and the fates of familiar crew members.
Daedalic describes a journey through 12 Delta Quadrant sectors. The announced play loop combines exploration and resource management with crew decisions, diplomacy, moral choices, and adapting the ship as circumstances change. The aim is to make command decisions that shape each run, not simply replay episodes in sequence. These are publisher-described features, not independent assessments of how the game performs in play.

What platforms is Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown on?
Daedalic announced a simultaneous release on February 18, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Steam also lists February 18, 2026 as the release date. The date is the announced launch date; for current availability, editions, and regional pricing, check the relevant platform storefront.
The publisher also announced a free demo of approximately one hour, featuring a sector inspired by “The Caretaker.” Demo availability can vary by platform and date, so confirm that it is still offered on the storefront you use.

What DLC and updates are available?
In an update dated July 16, 2026, Daedalic said the Expansion Pass and its first story DLC, Delta Chronicles, were available alongside free Patch 1.8. The publisher described the pass as containing four premium DLCs. Its official site, checked October 8, 2026, promoted Q Trials as out now and listed later DLC as coming soon. Availability and timing may change; consult the official game site or your platform store for the latest status.
Delta Chronicles
The first story expansion adds five side missions drawing on the Voyager episodes “Distant Origin,” “The Omega Directive,” “Cold Fire,” “Homestead,” and “Inside Man.” These are additional missions rather than a replacement for the base campaign.

Patch 1.8
The free Patch 1.8 update added seven ship quests and events, plus interface and balance improvements. Daedalic also said more free updates were planned; that statement does not establish their eventual release dates or contents.
