EA’s Patch 9 for the PC version of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor targets frame-rate hitching, ray-tracing CPU use, mouse-input performance and other quality-of-life issues. EA’s news index dates the patch-note entry to October 29, 2024, so this is not a new 2026 update.
What does Jedi: Survivor Patch 9 change on PC?
EA describes Patch 9 as an update focused primarily on performance and quality-of-life improvements for the PC version. Its official notes list these performance changes:

- Frame-rate improvements for various hardware configurations.
- Fixes for several sources of frame-rate hitching.
- Ray tracing optimized for CPU usage, which EA says should scale better with high-end GPUs.
- Fixes for performance issues related to using a mouse as gameplay input.
- An optimized “Optimizing Game Files” screen designed to benefit from multiple CPU cores.
These are EA’s descriptions of the changes, not benchmark results. The notes provide no before-and-after frame rates, test setup or guarantee that every player’s stuttering or performance problem will be fixed. “Various hardware configurations” and “should now scale better” do not promise a specific result on any one PC. EA’s official Patch 9 notes do not publish a performance percentage.
What else is included in the update?
Patch 9 also addresses controls, crashes and an in-game collision issue:
#1 Best Overall
- No longer a Padawan, Cal has come into his own and grown into a powerful Jedi Knight; Carrying the memories and expectations of the Jedi Order with him, his crusade against the Empire has only become more perilous
- The cinematic combat system returns with additional Force abilities and new lightsaber fighting styles; Creatively leverage all these abilities and weapons to strategically take on an expanded host of enemies, sizing up strengths and weaknesses
- Discover new planets and familiar frontiers in the Star Wars galaxy, each with unique biomes, challenges, and enemies; Master new skills, equipment, and abilities that will augment the ways you explore, fight, and roam
- With larger areas to explore and more to discover off the beaten path, players who adventure beyond the horizon will find hidden rewards
- Improved mouse and keyboard functionality in multiple menus.
- A fix for an elevator collision issue that could occur at low frame rates.
- A fix for a crash related to conversations.
- Fixes for various intermittent crashes.
- Removal of Denuvo DRM.
When did Patch 9 come out?
EA’s news index dates the Patch 9 notes to October 29, 2024. The same index includes later news entries, including one dated March 27, 2025, so the word “new” in older coverage should not be read as meaning Patch 9 was just released. See EA’s Jedi: Survivor news and updates index for its dated entries.

If your issue matches one of the problems EA lists—such as hitching, mouse-related performance trouble or slow game-file optimization—the patch is intended to address that area. The notes do not establish how much any particular PC will improve, or confirm that every cause of stuttering or low frame rates is resolved. They also do not say that players need a new CPU, GPU, mouse or other hardware to benefit.
