Stardew Valley 1.6 arrived on Nintendo Switch and mobile on November 4, 2024, initially as version 1.6.9. The update had launched on PC earlier, on March 19, 2024. Here’s what the release timeline confirms and what the update adds.
When did Stardew Valley 1.6 come out on Switch and mobile?
Developer ConcernedApe announced on September 22, 2024 that the console and mobile ports would launch on November 4, 2024. The announcement specified version 1.6.9 for those releases. ConcernedApe’s release announcement also said that version would come to PC around the same time.

PC players had received the update months earlier: ConcernedApe announced its PC release on March 19, 2024. The PC launch announcement confirms that date.
What did the 1.6 update add?

What is known about the Switch and mobile versions?
The official release announcement gives Switch and mobile the same launch date and initial version, but the available official sources do not provide a complete feature-by-feature comparison between the two platforms or establish their current relative builds.
The changelog says multiplayer supports up to eight players on PC. That figure is specifically scoped to PC; it does not establish the player cap for Switch or mobile.
Switch’s documented later patch
ConcernedApe’s official blog records that version 1.6.15.1 became available on Switch by February 26, 2025. The post says the console patch addressed issues and synced content with the latest PC version at that time. This is a dated milestone, not confirmation of the current Switch version.
