The update is intended to add depth
ConcernedApe described the design goal as adding depth to areas he considers somewhat lacking, without “bloating” the game with too many systems. He summarized it as: “More depth, but not necessarily more complexity.” This is a broad direction, not confirmation of particular locations, systems, or other features.
What is not confirmed?
The February 2026 announcement says 1.7 is “in development,” but gives no release date or estimate and does not provide a full feature list. It does not confirm a new farm type, map, area, skill path, children overhaul, or other specific fan theory. Those details should not be treated as 1.7 features unless ConcernedApe confirms them.
