What the Shinazugawa Estate mod added
GamesRadar reported that Shinazugawa Estate brought Sanemi and Genya from Demon Slayer into Stardew Valley as romanceable non-player characters. The mod also added the Shinazugawa estate above the bookseller area, and each brother had heart events. This describes the mod as reported; it should not be read as a current download or compatibility guarantee.
This is a community-made crossover, not evidence of an official collaboration between the game and anime. The available sources do not establish whether the mod had authorization from either rights holder.
Why you can’t download it from Nexus Mods right now
The Nexus Mods listing for Shinazugawa Estate says the author hid it on September 20, 2026, because it was not currently supported and/or had issues the author could not yet fix. The page gives no date for a possible return. Treat any older article or post describing the mod as available as historical rather than proof that it can be downloaded now.

Several separate projects use Demon Slayer characters or imagery. They are not interchangeable with Shinazugawa Estate:

A creator profile for hanazugawa separately lists Kyojuro, Sanemi, Genya, and Giyu among characters in that creator’s Demon Slayer mod work, and says work on Tanjiro had begun but was paused. That profile should not be assumed to describe the exact Shinazugawa Estate listing.

Compatibility and what to check before installing mods
GamesRadar reported that Shinazugawa Estate conflicted with some map-altering mods and a polyamory mod. Those compatibility notes are secondary reporting, and the listing is hidden; there is no basis here to promise it will work with a particular setup. For other mods, consult their current author pages and instructions for requirements, supported game versions, and known conflicts before adding them to a save.
- Check the exact mod name: Akaza NPC and Spooncrows have different content and requirements from Shinazugawa Estate.
- Install the framework named by the specific mod listing; the requirements are not the same for every project.
- Review current author documentation before combining a mod with map edits or other NPC-related mods.
What you need to play
Stardew Valley is the underlying game; Steam lists ConcernedApe as its developer and publisher and describes it as an open-ended country-life RPG. Buying the base game does not provide access to Shinazugawa Estate, whose Nexus listing is hidden. The reported crossover is a fan mod, not a separate retail game or an official Demon Slayer edition.
