During the Crimson Fleet quest Eye of the Storm, install both the ComSpike Module and Conduction Grid at The Key through Jazz’s Ship Builder. Use Add → Equipment, attach each part to a valid ship anchor point, then exit and accept the modifications. Once both are installed, continue to the UC Vigilance.
Install both modules at The Key

Return to The Key during Eye of the Storm and speak with Jazz, the ship technician. Choose the dialogue option to view or modify ships. The walkthrough for this quest describes this route to the Ship Builder: Prima Games’ ComSpike installation guide.

Select the ship you want to use and open Ship Builder. Bethesda lists the default controls from the ship modification screen as B on keyboard, X on Xbox, or Square on PlayStation. Controls may differ if you have changed your bindings. See Bethesda’s Starfield ship-building guide.

Choose Add, open the Equipment category, and add the Conduction Grid and ComSpike Module one at a time.

Attach each module to a valid anchor point on the ship. The builder shows valid placements in green and invalid placements in red; check the flight-error list for any unattached parts.

Exit Ship Builder and accept the modifications. The quest guide directs you to proceed to the UC Vigilance after installing both modules.

If a module will not attach
Try viewing the ship from another angle and placing the module at a different compatible anchor point. Ship parts have limited compatible connection points, and the builder’s red placement feedback indicates an invalid position. Before leaving the builder, check the flight-error list for unattached parts.

Check that both named modules are attached and that you exited Ship Builder by accepting the modifications. INARA’s Eye of the Storm quest listing places travel to Bannoc IV later in the quest sequence, after the UC Vigilance objective. The available quest walkthrough does not establish a universal fix for progression bugs, so these checks should not be treated as a guaranteed fix.
