To complete Starsand Island’s Intermediate Farmer challenge, grow a season-valid Gmax crop from nine matching seeds planted in a contiguous 3×3 plot, chop the giant crop for a fragment, then craft the matching fruit-themed furniture from blueprints sold at Alex’s Lex Woodworks. For the final handoff, follow the active quest tracker: walkthroughs disagree about whether the set goes to Solara or Graminova.
Start the Intermediate Farmer challenge with Graminova
Graminova is identified in farmer progression walkthroughs as the farming mentor. Speak with Graminova and follow the quest objectives in order; the Neoseeker walkthrough describes providing a Gmax fragment before the furniture portion of the trial unlocks. How to grow a Gmax crop in Starsand Island
Choose a crop that is available this season
The documented Gmax candidates are Pineapple, Watermelon, Pumpkin, and Winter Melon. Check the current season and the seed shop before choosing: these are seasonal options, not crops guaranteed to be available year-round. The Games Wiki’s Gmax crop guide.
Plant a contiguous 3×3 block
- Till nine connected plots arranged as a square, three plots wide and three plots deep.
- Plant the same season-valid crop in all nine spaces.
- Water the plot and wait for the plants to mature before harvesting.
Gmax growth is described by general crop guides as a mutation, so a 3×3 planting does not guarantee a giant crop on every attempt. If the plants mature as ordinary crops, try another block. The Games Wiki’s Gmax crop guide; Neoseeker’s Gmax crops walkthrough.

Chop the successful giant crop for a fragment
When a Gmax crop appears, use an axe-family tool to chop it. Crop guides identify fragments among the drops; collect the fragment needed for your Farmer objective and furniture progression. Where to get the Fruity Furniture blueprints
Visit Alex’s Lex Woodworks and look for the Fruity Furniture tab. The Intermediate Farmer walkthrough identifies this shop as the source of the matching fruit-themed furniture blueprints. The required crop and materials vary by fruit theme, so check that the relevant recipes are listed and that you have the matching materials before crafting. Craft the matching furniture and complete the handoff
Use a worktable to craft the matching fruit-themed sofa and low table (also described in a walkthrough as a tea table). Then open the active quest tracker and follow its delivery objective. The guides conflict on the recipient: Neoseeker describes giving the set to Solara and reporting to Graminova, while The Games Wiki version says to deliver it to Graminova. - Confirm the crop’s seed is available in the current season before planting.
- Check which matching fragment or token materials you already have.
- Verify that the matching sofa and low/tea table blueprints appear at Lex Woodworks before committing to a theme.
Walkthroughs are secondary sources, and Starsand Island’s quests and item details may change with updates. Treat the live objective in your game as the best guide when its wording or NPC handoff differs from a walkthrough.
