The Steam Summer Sale 2024 began June 27 and ended July 11 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. Steam advertised discounts on thousands of games, including a selection of extra-deep discounts, and a separate 15% promotion on two Steam Deck LCD models. Those offers were for the 2024 event and are not current deals.
When did the Steam Summer Sale 2024 run?
The sale ran from June 27 through July 11, 2024. Steam’s official sale announcement specified that discounts ended July 11 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. Steam’s official trailer was also published June 27 and gave the same event dates.
What was discounted?
Steam promoted discounts across thousands of games and described the selection as spanning many kinds of games, with some “extra-deep discounts.” The announcement did not give a complete game-by-game list or an exact count, and the sources do not establish particular titles or prices. The sale’s headline promise therefore describes the event broadly, rather than guaranteeing a specific discount on a game you wanted.
Steam’s seasonal-sale documentation says released games on Steam are eligible to participate, and that participating in a seasonal sale does not trigger a discount cooldown. Eligibility does not mean every released game was discounted, nor does it establish who set an individual game’s price. Steamworks: Discounts.

Steam Deck offer was a separate, historical promotion
Steam’s official trailer description advertised 15% off the Steam Deck 64GB LCD and 512GB LCD models through the end of the sale. That was a hardware promotion tied to the June–July 2024 event, not an additional game discount or a current price offer. The trailer did not establish today’s availability or pricing.
