Why do older Steam sale times not confirm the 2026 deadline?
Steam has used 10 a.m. Pacific as an end time before, but a past sale does not confirm the hour for a future one. Steam’s 2022 Winter Sale announcement said the event ran from December 22 at 10 a.m. Pacific through January 5, 2023, at 10 a.m. Pacific. Its 2025 announcement gave a cross-year range of December 18, 2025, through January 5, 2026, without establishing the 2026 Winter Sale’s ending hour.
When Steam publishes an exact time, note the time zone as well as the date. Pacific Time changes between daylight and standard time during the year, so the UTC equivalent depends on the date.
