A May 20, 2024 Gamingbible roundup named six games as free Steam downloads: Medved Hellraiser 3: Green Elephant, Undead Paradise, Kaetram, ScreenPlay, Cube Hero Odyssey and Cosmotots. That article is historical, however: it does not confirm that any of the six can still be claimed for free today.
Which six games did the 2024 article list?
These are the titles and brief descriptions reported by Ewan Moore’s Gamingbible roundup, published May 20, 2024. The descriptions are the writer’s impressions, not independent reviews or verified statements from the developers.
| Game | Description in the article |
|---|---|
| Medved Hellraiser 3: Green Elephant | Moore said he was unsure what was happening in the game and criticized its apparent quality. |
| Undead Paradise | The article gave a brief, tongue-in-cheek description, but not enough reliable detail to establish its genre or features. |
| Kaetram | Described as a pixel-art MMORPG. The article mentioned “a few really good reviews” but supplied no count, score or current rating. |
| ScreenPlay | Described as a digital card game in which players build movies with tropes and characters. |
| Cube Hero Odyssey | Described as an RPG that appeared to Moore to be inspired by Dragon Quest Builders; that comparison was his impression, not a confirmed developer description. |
| Cosmotots | Described as an arena shooter. The article also expressed a negative subjective reaction to its presentation. |
Can you still claim these games for free?
The 2024 roundup does not establish current availability, and the status of the six individual store listings has not been confirmed here. Check each game’s current Steam store page before assuming it is free or claimable. A general Steam storefront listing of free-to-play games does not verify the status of a particular older offer.
Also distinguish a game that is currently free to play from a limited-time Free to Keep promotion. SteamDB explains that a Free to Keep offer adds the game permanently to a user’s library if it is claimed during the promotion window: SteamDB’s explanation of Free to Keep promotions. That general mechanism does not mean a past promotion remains open.
#1 Best Overall
- 1TB NVMe SSD
- 1280 x 800 HDR OLED display with premium anti-glare etched glass, 7.4" Diagonal display size up to 90Hz refresh rate
- Wi-Fi 6E
- 50Whr battery; 3-12 hours of gameplay (content-dependent)
- Carrying case with removable liner
Do you have to download a game during the offer?
For a Free to Keep promotion, the key action is claiming the game during the stated promotional period; the general mechanism described by SteamDB is that the claimed game is added to your library permanently. The article’s wording about games you can “download and keep forever” should not be read as proof that the six offers are still active, or that a game must be installed immediately. Confirm the live listing and its claim terms before acting.
Does a Steam Deck affect eligibility?
No Steam Deck is required to claim a Steam game. Moore mentioned his handheld in the roundup as personal context, not as a requirement or evidence that these games run on Steam Deck.
