Veil of Sanity: Echoes of the Carnival
Veil of Sanity is a single-player psychological-horror survival game set in an abandoned carnival. Steam presents this release as Chapter 1 of a planned series. This is the last time is a dark, atmospheric adventure game. The title is styled with lowercase words on Steam. The available report identifies it as an April 3 release but does not establish that it is specifically a horror game, so it is better described as an atmospheric adventure.

Magic Madness VR

What does “free” mean here?
These releases should not be confused with every type of free Steam offer:
- Free to Play: The base game costs nothing to download, but optional purchases, cosmetics, DLC, expansions or other monetization may exist.
- Free giveaway: A normally paid game is temporarily offered at no cost, often with a permanent license if claimed during the promotion. Nothing in this list establishes that kind of deadline-based offer.
- Free demo or prologue: Only part of a paid game is available. Veil of Sanity’s chapter-based structure makes it particularly important to check what is included.
- Free release: A game may launch at $0 without being a promotion. It can still be a small, experimental or episodic project.
Do not assume these games had to be “claimed before they disappeared.” Unless a Steam page explicitly announces a time-limited promotion, the relevant question is whether the $0 base game remains available under its current listing.
What to check before installing
- Operating system and hardware: Windows requirements do not guarantee that a game works well on SteamOS or Steam Deck.
- Online access: Ultranatural requires an internet connection for online play, and STEEL HUNTERS is designed around multiplayer combat.
- VR equipment: Magic Madness VR requires a compatible headset and is not automatically suitable for a standard PC setup.
