What has been confirmed about Stellar Blade: Blood Rain?
SHIFT UP unveiled Stellar Blade: Blood Rain at Summer Game Fest 2026. The company’s Q2 2026 earnings release, published August 11, says development is progressing toward its quality goals and that further information will be disclosed in stages. The report describes the reveal as a three-minute-and-thirty-second in-game trailer.

SHIFT UP said it plans to allow sufficient development time to deliver the level of polish it wants. Its statement is: “Under the principle of securing sufficient development time to deliver the highest level of polish, we will disclose further information about the game in stages.” That update is a development-status statement, not a release schedule.
Is Stellar Blade: Blood Rain coming out before 2027?
No confirmed release date or window appears in SHIFT UP’s cited Q2 2026 report. The earlier schedule language is outdated as a current promise: SHIFT UP’s May 11, 2026 Q1 2026 report said details of the next Stellar Blade title would be revealed during 2026 and that development was progressing smoothly. The title was subsequently revealed, but neither that earlier update nor the later report confirms a launch before 2027.

Does EVE return, and who is Evie?
Do not conflate EVE, the protagonist of the first Stellar Blade, with Evie. PC Gamer’s June 5, 2026 reveal coverage identifies Evie as the new game’s protagonist and says the story moves beyond the events of the first game. The available announcement information therefore supports describing Blood Rain as introducing a new lead, not as confirming EVE’s return as protagonist.
What platforms will Blood Rain be on?
SHIFT UP’s cited Q2 2026 report does not announce a platform list for Blood Rain. It says the company intends to self-publish the next title and reach a broad global audience from day one. That is a publishing and audience goal; it does not establish a simultaneous launch or confirm PlayStation, Xbox, PC, or Switch 2 versions.

The original Stellar Blade is a separate case. Video Games Chronicle reported that it launched on PS5 in April 2024 and that its PC port followed in June 2025. SHIFT UP’s Q2 report separately scheduled a Switch 2 expansion for the original game in the second half of 2026. None of those original-game releases confirms a platform for Blood Rain.

SHIFT UP’s Q2 report says the in-game reveal trailer had accumulated 1.61 million views on IGN’s official channel by the end of July 2026. The company described that figure as among the highest for titles revealed at Summer Game Fest 2026; it is a channel-specific total as of that date, not a cross-platform view count.
