When did the Stellar Blade x NieR:Automata DLC come out?
Shift Up announced the PS5 update on November 11, 2024, and set its arrival for November 20, 2024. The PlayStation Store listing confirms that date for PS5. For PC, Steam lists June 11, 2025 as the DLC release date and says the base game is required. These are platform-specific release dates, not an upcoming launch.

What does the crossover include?
The collaboration adds Emil’s Shop, which moves around the Wastelands and Great Desert open areas. The PS5 listing describes 11 special collaboration cosmetics:
- Four Nanosuits for EVE
- One face accessory for EVE
- Three hairstyles for EVE
- One cosmetic for the Drone
- One cosmetic for Adam
- One cosmetic for Lily
Stellar Tears, an in-game currency found in those areas, are used to obtain the items. The PlayStation Store says purchase and game progression are required to unlock them, and internet access is required to access the DLC. See the store listing for its current platform-specific terms.

Is it a story expansion?
The official descriptions document a roaming shop and cosmetic unlocks; they do not describe a new story campaign. Shift Up’s DongKi Lee, identified as the company’s CTO and Stellar Blade Technical Director, said the collaboration came from work between Stellar Blade director Kim Hyung Tae and NieR:Automata director Yoko Taro. The PlayStation Store identifies NieR:Automata as produced by Square Enix and directed by Yoko Taro.
