Street Fighter 6 did get a Darkstalkers-themed promotion, but Capcom did not announce Darkstalkers characters as playable DLC. The October 1, 2024 announcement was for a limited-time Fighting Pass called “Darkstalkers Gala,” featuring in-game rewards and Battle Hub theming. Its announced availability was temporary, so the pass should not be assumed to be available now.
What the Darkstalkers announcement actually added
Capcom’s October 1, 2024 Steam announcement describes “New Fighting Pass: Darkstalkers Gala” as that month’s Street Fighter 6 Fighting Pass, paying tribute to Night Warriors: Darkstalkers’ Revenge. It lists free and premium rewards, including avatar gear, emotes, music, stickers, wallpaper, and Darkstalkers Challenger screen effects.
The announcement does not list a playable Darkstalkers fighter, a character release, or a character-specific gameplay package. The distinction matters: this was a themed set of digital rewards for Street Fighter 6, not an announcement that Morrigan or another Darkstalkers character was joining its roster.
What the pass rewards were
- Avatar gear: Cosmetic items for avatars. Capcom stated, “Avatar gear is cosmetic only and does not affect character fighting attributes.”
- Other rewards: The announcement names emotes, music, stickers, wallpaper, and Challenger screen effects.
- Price at announcement: Premium rewards were announced at 250 Fighter Coins; free rewards were also described. That is the price stated in the 2024 announcement, not a current price or availability claim.
Is the Darkstalkers pass available now?
The October 2024 announcement describes the pass as a limited-time offering. It does not establish whether “Darkstalkers Gala” can still be accessed or purchased, or whether it has returned since its original run. Treat its present availability as unverified rather than assuming it is still in the game’s pass rotation.

How to play Darkstalkers instead
If the goal is to play the classic games rather than collect Street Fighter 6 cosmetics, Capcom Fighting Collection is a separate product. In a February 21, 2022 press release, Capcom described it as a ten-game compilation that includes the Darkstalkers series, with a June 24, 2022 release date. The release listed PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Those details identify the platforms announced at the time; check current platform and retailer listings for present availability.

In short, the crossover was real as a themed Street Fighter 6 Fighting Pass, but not as Darkstalkers character DLC. For the classic games, look to the distinct Capcom Fighting Collection.
