What did the cast do at The Game Awards?
The Game Awards’ official recap says cast members from the upcoming Street Fighter film presented Best Ongoing Game. Its list of participants includes Andrew Koji, Andrew Schulz, Callina Liang, Cody Rhodes, David Dastmalchian, Jason Momoa, Mel Jarnson, Noah Centineo, Olivier Richters, Orville Peck, Rayna Vallandingham, Roman Reigns, and Vidyut Jammwal. The event’s official FAQ dates the 2025 show to December 11.
In its December 18, 2025 recap, the organizer reported 171 million global livestreams for the full show, 11% above its 2024 record. That is an organizer-reported livestream count, not a count of unique viewers; it excludes associated clips and trailers and does not include Prime Video viewing. The Game Awards’ recap explains the scope of the figure.
Did the Street Fighter cast take a crack at Mortal Kombat II?
The official Game Awards recap confirms the cast appearance and award presentation, but does not transcribe a joke, challenge, or reaction involving Mortal Kombat II. The official Mortal Kombat II movie site does not establish a named response or the exact exchange either. Without a complete clip or an attributable statement, the specific banter and any reply from the Mortal Kombat II team remain unverified.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is the movie based on Street Fighter 6?
The available official film synopsis describes a 1993 setting and the World Warrior Tournament; it does not identify Street Fighter 6 as the film’s source or adaptation. Capcom called Street Fighter 6 the newest entry in the series in its April 2023 announcement and listed a June 2, 2023 release date, but that announcement does not connect the game to the movie. Capcom’s announcement concerns the game and a planned live-action film and TV series.
