Summer Game Fest Live took place on June 6, 2025, as a two-hour showcase. The event recap at recap.games counts 49 announcements or games, but that tally combines new reveals with updates, trailers, and other segments. Below is a chronological roundup of the titles and moments identified in event coverage, with release information kept to what was announced at the time—not treated as a current schedule.
What the 2025 showcase covered
The main Summer Game Fest Live broadcast ran from 9:00 to 11:00 PM UTC (2:00 to 4:00 PM Pacific) on June 6, 2025. GameSpot described it as a two-hour show spanning multiple games and platforms. The recap.games timeline counts 49 announcements or games; that is the recap’s tally, not a universally audited total, and it includes more than first-time game reveals.
That distinction matters when reading the roundup: some entries below were new game announcements, while others were trailers, release updates, downloadable content, a seasonal in-game event, or publisher news. Release dates and windows are reported as event-era announcements. They do not, by themselves, establish whether a game or update is available now.
Announcements and trailers, in show order
Opening stretch
- Mortal Shell II: The sequel to the 2020 souls-like action RPG opened the showcase. PC Gamer reported that it was coming to Steam in 2026 at the time of the announcement.
- Fortnite: Death Star Sabotage: GameSpot described this as an in-game event marking the end of the Star Wars-themed Galactic Battle season, scheduled for June 7, 2025—not as a standalone game release.
- Death Stranding 2: On the Beach: Hideo Kojima presented a story clip in which Neil, played by Luca Marinelli, speaks with Lucy, played by Alyssa Jung.
- Chronicles: Medieval: Raw Power Games introduced a medieval sandbox with a trailer combining cinematic footage and gameplay, accompanied by a Tom Hardy voiceover.
- Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds: The showcase confirmed guest racers Hatsune Miku, Ichiban Kasuga, and Joker, and announced Minecraft content in collaboration with Xbox.
- Code Vein II: Bandai Namco announced a follow-up to its anime-styled action RPG.
Mid-show reveals and updates

- Mafia: The Old Country: A new look followed Enzo and the criminal underworld in early-1900s Sicily.
- LEGO Voyagers: Annapurna showed a two-player cooperative adventure about two small LEGO pieces traveling through the world together.
- Lies of P: Overture: A new trailer showed gameplay and abilities. GameSpot reported the DLC became available on June 6, 2025, the day of the showcase.
- Mina the Hollower: GameSpot reported that a Steam demo became available and that a Halloween launch was announced. PC Gamer specified October 31, 2025; that is the date announced at the event, not a confirmation of the current schedule.

- Jurassic World Evolution 3: PC Gamer reported an October 21, 2025 release date announcement.

Capcom’s featured games and announcements

- Onimusha: Way of the Sword: Capcom said the trailer showed Musashi fighting Genma with parries, defensive moves, and special attacks, and introduced rival swordsman Sasaki Ganryu. The publisher described the game as approaching a 2026 release at the time.
- Street Fighter 6 Year 3: Capcom announced Sagat for summer, C. Viper for autumn, Alex for early spring 2026, and Ingrid for late spring 2026. These are the character-release windows announced in 2025.

How to read the release dates and windows
The dates above preserve what event coverage reported in June 2025. They are useful for understanding what the showcase announced, but they are not a verified current release calendar. The event-era coverage cited here does not establish present-day availability or confirm whether those schedules changed. For a current launch date, platform, or availability status, check the game’s official page or publisher announcement.
