For a useful Summertime Saga walkthrough, first check whether your game is Stable or Preview, then follow the matching route guide. The two builds do not contain identical content or instructions: Stable is the content-complete legacy build, while Preview is the ongoing, limited-content build. If a route stalls, use the in-game hints and verify its prerequisites before assuming it is broken.
Choose the walkthrough for your game version
The official download page listed Stable v0.20.16 and Preview v21.0.0-wip.8194 when checked on October 8, 2026. Those labels can change, so check the official download page for the build you have installed. The official walkthrough recommends matching its version tab to your game; Stable content has not all been ported to Preview, and migrated routes may be changed or expanded.

Feature and version details are those listed on the official download page on October 8, 2026. The Preview page’s quest-conflict prevention is an advertised feature, not a guarantee that every route condition is free of conflicts.
How to follow a character route
The official walkthrough is organized into a compulsory prologue, three main-story parts, and character routes. Most character routes become available after the prologue; some require preliminary completions. Its route index includes Jenny, Debbie, Diane, Tammy and June, Ms. Bissette, Mia and Helen, Eve, Odette, Roxxy, Ms. Dewitt, Ms. Okita, Ms. Ross, Consuela, Daisy, Maria, and Tina. This index establishes the scope of the guide, not that every route is available in both builds.

- Complete the prologue. Treat it as the required opening before starting the main route progression.
- Open the matching build’s walkthrough. Select the Stable or Preview instructions corresponding to your installed game.
- Check the route’s requirements before advancing. Note any prerequisite stories, stats, items, or quest objects called out in its steps.
- Follow the route steps in order. If the next event does not appear, consult the game’s smartphone hints and revisit earlier steps rather than skipping ahead.
- Check completion and missed scenes. Use the in-game hints to see completed stories; use the Cookie Jar to check scenes and unlocks. Optional events can remain after a route is complete.
Use the official walkthrough index to reach the route-specific instructions. Since individual route steps can change, especially when a route is migrated, rely on the matching guide page for exact choices and prerequisites.
What to check when a route will not progress
A missing event may indicate an unmet condition rather than a broken route. The official FAQ recommends checking hints, speaking with other characters, retracing earlier walkthrough steps, and confirming requirements such as stats and items.

- Read the smartphone hint. It can point to the next task or show that a story is complete.
- Recheck prerequisites. Confirm required stats, items, quest objects, and any preliminary route completions.
- Talk to relevant characters. A conversation elsewhere may be needed before the expected event becomes available.
- Review the previous walkthrough steps. Verify that each trigger happened in sequence and that you did not miss an item or interaction.
- Use the Cookie Jar for scene checks. It can help identify missed scenes or unlocks; optional events may still be available even after the main route is complete.

Avoid conflicts between overlapping routes
In Stable, the state of a character shared by multiple stories can block progress on another route. The official walkthrough suggests focusing on one story at a time to reduce the chance of these conflicts. If a blocker has already happened, progressing the other story may be necessary to clear it. Preview advertises quest-conflict prevention, but that feature should not be read as a promise that all route dependencies are conflict-free.

Switching builds, devices, and saves
Do not assume a save will transfer cleanly
The official FAQ calls save compatibility between successive versions experimental and not guaranteed; changes between versions can conflict with save data. Before changing builds, keep your existing save and do not count on it working in the other version.
Use official platform downloads
The official download page lists builds for Windows/Linux, macOS, and Android; it does not offer an iOS build, citing Apple publishing restrictions. Download from the official page rather than relying on unofficial mirrors or purported iOS ports. A public download is listed, so a Patreon pledge is not required to play that public build.

Expect occasional technical problems
The official FAQ notes that bugs or crashes may occur. That is a general caveat, not a current defect rate or a claim that a particular version has a known issue. If you are troubleshooting, first confirm the build and route guide match, then check the FAQ and hints for the relevant step.
