Super Dungeon Bros is a 2016 co-op dungeon brawler built around rock-star heroes, undead enemies, traps, loot, and four-player teamwork. Storefront feedback is mixed to negative, but the available review snapshots do not establish why players rated it that way. Here’s what the game offers, where you can play it, and what the ratings can—and can’t—tell you.
What is Super Dungeon Bros?
Developed by React Games and published by Wired Productions, Super Dungeon Bros launched on November 1, 2016. Steam categorizes it as action, adventure, casual, and indie; GameSpot’s catalog also uses roguelike and role-playing tags. Those are storefront and catalog classifications, not review judgments.
The premise sends four rock-themed heroes—Axl, Lars, Freddie, and Ozzie—into the dungeons of Rökheim. The official listings describe fighting undead, finding loot, using weapons, and dealing with traps and puzzles. Teamwork is part of the pitch: players can throw teammates toward ledges or switches and coordinate attacks. Steam’s listing also advertises regions such as Cryptheim, Chillheim, and Bogheim, randomly generated room combinations, and daily and weekly dungeons with leaderboards. These are advertised features, not independently verified playtest findings.
What do the Super Dungeon Bros reviews say?
The visible player-feedback snapshots are mixed to negative, but they are not a unified score and do not explain the reasons behind the reception.

Because the storefront figures come from different platforms and rating systems, they should not be combined into one score. The reviewed pages also do not provide enough individual review detail to attribute particular strengths or weaknesses to players. In practical terms, the ratings are a caution that reception is not uniformly positive—not a reliable explanation of whether the game’s combat, level variety, or co-op will suit you.
Is Super Dungeon Bros multiplayer?
Yes. The official listings describe solo play and co-op for up to four players. Steam lists both online and shared-screen co-op. Xbox specifies local and online co-op for two to four players, as well as single-player. If couch play is the deciding factor, check the mode details for the version you intend to buy; the Xbox listing explicitly states its local player range.

Console online play has a subscription requirement according to the current store pages: Xbox says online multiplayer requires Xbox Game Pass Essential, Premium, or Ultimate, while PlayStation says it requires PlayStation Plus. Terms may vary or change, so check the listing for your region before purchasing.

It may be worth considering if you want a co-op dungeon run with a heavy-metal theme and are specifically looking for support for solo play, couch co-op, or online groups. The available listings give a clear picture of the premise and modes, but the feedback snapshots do not provide enough detail to judge the quality of the combat or how well the dungeons hold up over time.
