The official listings present two different soundtrack propositions: Super Woden: Rally Edge offers a 37-track downloadable soundtrack credited across three names, while art of rally offers a larger, single-composer release described as a synthwave journey of more than four hours. Those facts establish differences in scale, authorship and published style language—not which soundtrack sounds better in play. No direct listening evidence is available here for judging arrangements, pacing, production or gameplay integration.
What the official listings actually establish
This is a metadata-and-description comparison, not a listening review. The strongest documented comparison is art of rally OST; the evidence does not support a survey of several indie rally games. The conclusions below therefore stay within what the Steam product pages and Steam Support describe.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
That distinction matters because soundtrack store pages are product metadata, not critical reviews. They can tell you who is credited, how many tracks are listed, when the download was released and how the publisher frames the music. They generally cannot tell you whether a piece loops cleanly in a race, how loud its master is, or whether a motif returns during a championship. Those are listening questions, and they should not be inferred from a title, duration or genre label.

The 37 listed pieces cover a broad range of use cases. Several are very short menu, event or information cues, while others run for several minutes as conventional songs. DJ DeVito is credited on tracks 1 through 14, DonutDroid on tracks 15 through 36, and Queen Melodis on track 37. Based on the published timings, the shortest cue is 17 seconds and the longest track is 3 minutes 21 seconds. The listing does not publish a total running time, so it would be misleading to assign one by simply treating every displayed duration as a complete album program.

How to read the 37-track package
The creator split is easy to overlook when browsing the list. DJ DeVito contributes 14 entries, DonutDroid contributes 22 and Queen Melodis contributes one. That is a count of listed tracks, not a measure of each creator’s share of playing time or creative importance. The list also contains four sub-minute cues: Insert Coin at 0:17, Round Info at 0:45, Season Events at 0:32 and Third time’s the charm at 0:35. Three tracks exceed three minutes: Drive Or Die at 3:19, Engine Tuning at 3:13 and G Force at 3:21.
That mixture suggests the package is intended to preserve music used across a game interface as well as longer listening pieces, but the listing does not identify where each cue appears. A track called Round Info may be a menu cue, yet the page does not document its in-game trigger. Likewise, titles such as Rally Anthem and Turbocharged Rage communicate a theme without proving tempo, instrumentation or race placement. Keep the official capitalization when quoting titles, including F_Type and Third time’s the charm.

Single-composer authorship
The art of rally OST listing gives a September 23, 2020 release date and credits Tatreal, also identified there as Slava Korystov, as composer and producer. The listing says the soundtrack was made from a studio in Kryvyi Rih, Central Ukraine. These are credits and location details supplied by the publisher’s Steam page.
Scale and published style description
The same listing describes 57 original tracks and characterizes the release as a listening journey lasting more than four hours. It presents the music as the composer’s take on synthwave and cites homages to music from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, including references to Kraftwerk, Daft Punk, ELO and Cerrone. The page also names Roland TR-707 and Yamaha RY-30 drum machines, together with Jupiter 8 and Moog Modular virtual instruments.
Those genre, influence and equipment statements are publisher descriptions, not independent verification or a critical genre analysis. They tell a prospective listener how the soundtrack is marketed and contextualized; they do not prove that every track follows one formula, that the influences are audible in equal measure, or that the production is superior to another game’s music.

The release dates also frame the comparison. Rally Edge’s soundtrack listing is dated January 15, 2026, whereas the art of rally soundtrack listing is dated September 23, 2020. The six-year gap is useful catalog context, but it does not demonstrate a change in production standards or audience expectations. Neither page supplies sales totals, review statistics or a discount history that could support a commercial comparison.
Why the numbers do not tell you how either soundtrack sounds
A track count measures catalog size, not musical variety or quality. The Rally Edge list includes short functional cues such as Insert Coin, Round Info and Season Events alongside longer pieces such as G Force and Drive Or Die. That makes the count useful for understanding the downloadable package, but it is not equivalent to 37 full-length songs.
By contrast, the art of rally page supplies both a track count and a broad duration claim, plus a stylistic frame. That richer description is an asymmetry in store-page copy. It is not evidence that its soundtrack contains more genres, more instrumental contrast or better transitions than Rally Edge. The Rally Edge listing may simply choose to foreground titles and credits rather than a manifesto about influences.
Nor should the 57-versus-37 difference be treated as a direct measure of value. A buyer who wants a long, album-like listening session may care about the four-plus-hour claim attached to art of rally. Someone who wants a compact collection that documents menu and event cues may prefer Rally Edge’s more explicitly game-oriented list. The listings establish those formats and descriptions; personal preference determines which presentation is more useful.
Release format, ownership and installation expectations
Steam Support explains that soundtracks can be sold either as standalone music products or as downloadable content connected to a parent game. The two listings considered here are presented as digital soundtrack downloads rather than CD or vinyl editions. In the Rally Edge case, the parent-game relationship is explicit and the base game is excluded from the soundtrack purchase.
For Rally Edge, check that you are buying the soundtrack add-on rather than assuming it includes the racing game. The store warning is a product requirement in practical terms: the soundtrack listing and the base game are separate items. For either soundtrack, use the Steam client and the installation guidance shown for your account and operating system. Steam’s soundtrack help also discusses downloading and high-quality audio options, but exact library behavior can depend on how a publisher packages its files.

Nothing in these listings establishes a physical release, a permanent price, a discount schedule or a bundle. Prices and availability can change, so a purchase decision should rely on the current Steam page rather than an old amount quoted elsewhere. There is likewise no evidence here of a CD, vinyl pressing, boxed edition or hardware bundle.
What a direct listening test would still need to answer
The available product information cannot establish comparative judgments about instrumentation, mastering, dynamic range, tempo, transitions, thematic recurrence or how either soundtrack responds to racing, menus and events. It also cannot show whether one release is more energetic, atmospheric, varied or memorable. Those questions require listening to the files, ideally both as standalone albums and while playing the associated game.
A useful listening comparison would keep the conditions consistent: hear representative long tracks as well as the shortest cues, note whether either release repeats phrases, and compare file playback with in-game playback. It would also be necessary to check whether a cue loops, fades, stings into another event or appears only once. None of those behaviors is documented by the store metadata, so they should remain open questions rather than conclusions.
It is also not possible to infer gameplay integration from titles alone. A name such as Rally Anthem may suggest a role, but the listing does not document when it plays or how it is arranged. Likewise, a short cue’s duration does not reveal whether it loops, stingers into another event or appears only once. Treat those as open listening questions rather than established characteristics.
How far this comparison can go
art of rally is the one other indie rally soundtrack for which this material supplies detailed official evidence. It is therefore a strong documented contrast in scale and published positioning, but not proof of a genre-wide pattern. Other indie rally games may use different licensing models, composers, formats or track-count conventions; they would need their own current official listings before being added to a broader comparison.
That limitation is especially important when the question is phrased as “other indie rally game soundtracks.” The plural invites a broad ranking, but these listings support only one detailed counterpart. It would be inaccurate to present Rally Edge and art of rally as representative of every independent rally game, or to claim that either release defines the genre.

Bottom line
Choose the Rally Edge soundtrack if you want a 2026 Steam add-on whose 37-item catalog is split among DJ DeVito, DonutDroid and Queen Melodis, with both brief game cues and longer songs. The listings support that factual distinction; they do not support declaring a sonic winner without listening.
